Ghost in the Shell (Japan) was around $72, Castle of Cagliostro (Japan) was around $60, Princess Bride (Germany) was $52, Escape from New York (UK) was $45, as was Midsommar (USA) and Beastmaster (USA).
I think my most expensive purchase, 4K or not, would likely go to my Hayao Miyazaki Studio Ghibli boxed set from Japan at around $450. I don't mind paying top dollar for non-typical releases, but I do like to wait for decent sales to get common releases. However, I can't seem to wrap my head around paying $120 for The Little Drummer Girl (S Korea) though, mainly because it doesn't have English subtitles and it can be streamed for $2. So, naturally, I just bought it used for $80. It's just money, right? |
