This does have the blu-ray copy at least. i hope it'll be like the Scream 4K and have the blu-ray be remastered as well. As much as I wanted the steelbook for the National Lampoon's Vacation 4K, I just couldn't justify paying $30+ for it when it doesn't include a blu-ray with it.

That would be awesome if Sweeney Todd got a nice Steelbook. I'm not sure if there were any Steelbooks released here but I know overseas got some nice DVD Steelbooks. When I was looking for a movie to watch, Sweeney Todd was one of the ones that I considered.

I've had my eye on that double feature for quite a while, hoping it would drop in price. May have to pull the trigger if it still is. Sweeney Todd has been on my steelbook want list for quite a while. I was hoping they'd do something last year for the 15th anniversary, but alas not. They could do some really pretty designs.

The art isn't as great as the original steel, but not bad enough to bust out the "your friends have played you false" line from Ian McDiarmid's character in the movie.

Must save it for some future release.

Monday at 11p EST is when it should revert back. iTunes sales typically go from Monday thru Monday.

I ended up canceling my walmart preorder. Going to wait until the end of July and preorder from moviesunlimited

I just got the Walmart email saying that my preorder has been changed to $0.00. I think it’s just poor wording to say that the temporary hold on my card has expired, as I just checked my bank app and it’s not listed there anymore.

I got an email saying my order has changes. It says my order has changed by the full amount of the initial charge and that I would be charged the correct amount when I’m charged. Also, says payment adjustment for my card in the full originals price charge. Checking my purchase history shows the price of the title been reduced to $0.00 and the total changed to $0.00 for order. Though the original charge still shows in the amount next to the card I’d used. I do see a credit on my card used. So, I expect the preauth charge will disappear today and the system has a glitch and applying it to order as a PM. Will be interesting to see how it plays out and if we’re just seeing things that usually just details we don’t see during the preorder process.

Another thing, the price at Walmart went up to 37.99. It was 29.96 yesterday morning.

That's kind of bonkers. I've never had walmart charge for a pre order, unless it was about to ship.

They do pre Auth charges if you use credit/debit.

Yeah, I paid with Paypal which takes the amount upfront regardless and was also just sent the same email this morning.

Your order has changed by $32.13 since it was placed, so we’ll refund the difference.

I'm def. ready to ride this out and see what happens. This is a weird one.

Amazon prices on new pre order listings often start at MSRP been like this a good few years
$37.99 is the MSRP for this release you don't end up paying that price

Amazon price drops on pre orders happen at various stages can be a few days or weeks after a pre order listing goes live
Can even be as late as release date itself sometimes when a price drop is applied

The amazon price will drop to $29.99 or less before or on release date
Pre-order Price Guarantee will auto apply any price drops that happen after your pre order upto close of business on release date

I could've sworn that was the only option on Blu-Ray at some point, but maybe I'm remembering wrong. I did import it and I don't recall caring about steelbooks at the time. Or there was some other reason to get the UK version. I don't remember.

There was 2 different UK Blu-ray SteelBook releases of Sweeney Todd

2008 release (This was the first ever in regards to a Film on Blu-ray getting a Blu-ray SteelBook release in UK
Before this there was films that got DVD SteelBook releases in UK)
The first movie Blu-ray SteelBook ever was Pans Labyrinth a release from Germany in 2007
