Enjoyed this movie, but I think I liked 'Red Rocket' more, but still one of the best films of the year for sure.

I absolutely adored this. It's hilarious, beautiful, and heartbreaking all at once. I don't know if she'll win, but I definitely see an Oscar nomination for Mikey Madison coming soon.

How the hell is Mikey Madison considered an Oscar front-runner for this largely one-note ass performance? I don’t get it, man. The poignancy of the film’s denouement doesn’t retroactively make up for it.

Igor was fascinating though. Stole the show.

Enjoyed the hell out of this. The lead actress was really good and the Russian boyfriend was funny and played that role with a quirky aggressiveness.

This one was straight garbage. Unbelievable.

Pop shit made for tiktokers and instagramers. Has the nuance of a potato.

Sean Baker should direct porn, it would satisfy his proclivities and doesn't demand to much complexity of him.

The male character should go to a Borat contest because acting is not his cup of tea, unless they remake My Left Foot tomorrow.

I actually am. But i have a bad time with crimes like this movie, specially when its so highly regarded by a bunch of people. Its like praising reality tv junk as a masterpiece.

I hope Dune 2 doesn't lose to this trash. It would break my heart.

Dune 2 has virtually no chance at winning Best Picture, it's either this or The Brutalist, with Wicked being the dark horse commercial pick.

If you don't follow the awards race and just tune in to the Oscars, sure. But it was a two horse race between it and 1917, and Parasite had more than three times the precursor wins that 1917 had (for Picture).

After the SAG win (which is usually the decider in a lot of these races) it continued to build momentum, while 1917 slowly became the "appreciated but not loved" pick. It could've still gone either way during the big night, but Parasite winning was far from a surprise for people that follow these things.

It was mediocre. Madison is fine, if grating after awhile due to the excessive runtime.

Watched this again. The man who played Igor was good in this, especially toward the end of the film. He was funny as well.

This is in my Top 5 for 2024, and I've seen a lot of movies this year.
