All the releases in round 3 have reached their crowd-funding goal! The discs from the previous round should reach people by the end of the month, or early in May.

The tv channel NRK seems to air many of the movies just before crowdfounding starts.
A shame as there should be a window of at least 2 months after a bluray release before airing on tv.
I havent purchased any in the series yet but lended a few on my local library.

The technical work is done by the National library. So, these digitalisations are primarily tax payer funded. The crowdfunding really only partially pays for the production of the Blu-rays. Platekompaniet invests a sum as well. So, with crowd funding we might be able to steer what the National library works with. They have their own priorities which are to scan as much film as possible, starting with the most brittle and damage-prone film stock. But if they get outside financial support they can shift their production.

So, both NRK and this project benefit from the National library's work.

Yes but I wish NRK didnt air these movies before getting a bluray release for higher sales.
Maybe it doesnt matter as most collectors buy these movies despite beeing aired on tv anyway.
