Yup, as predicted. Shame that 88 are going down this route to push the exclusive sales.

You don't seem to care for 88 Films so why are you giving them business?

Will probably regret it... ;-)

I feel it would have been quite a stretch to assume the standard edition would have a different style slipcover, a different booklet, and a different poster as they said the 1K copies had those exclusively.

My post was based solely on your two comments. I don't believe anyone could have inferred that you love the company and was simply venting based on what you wrote. You simply overreacted to what I said. I wouldn't have commented again after you explained except that you got snotty and said "deal with it."

The word "regret" doesn't belong in a thread about a 4k upgrade of Anthropophagous. It's the greatest D.I.Y. instructional video on autosarcophagy of all time. If you don't absolutely love it, I'll eat my left kidney.

Oh wait....

The regret don’t really belong in 4K discussion anyway, so gonna enjoy this I think.

I had to look up autosarcophagy to see if you were making up words.

Well actually its not a standard release....its going to have slipcover. The standard release will not have a slipcover...so we will have three diffrent versions. Thats the crazy part. And removing the booklet and poster like they have had in ALL other uhd is not very nice. Not for £30. I will wait for this one to be 2 for £15

But they didn’t “remove” any booklet because there never was one. The LE comes with a “40 page perfect bound book”.

Well that depends on how you see it right? Why have they suddenly change what to have in theire UHDs since they always had booklet and poster in them? And then charge the same witout that? I surely cant be the only one that thinks thats crazy?

I definitely understand what you mean and how you're feeling. It's not cool to remove something that was a given before and then charge more for it. I get it. That said... They were pretty clear that the Website Exclusive Edition had the book(let) and poster. To think any other edition would have those could only mean the book(let) and poster would be different in the "standard" release or else they wouldn't be Exclusive to the Website version if they weren't different. The slipcover is more forgivable as a release having an exclusive slip often means it's a different slip than the standard, not that it wouldn't have one at all.

Perhaps the most notorious ‘video nasty’ of all time, ANTHROPOPHAGOUS is back to deprave and corrupt a fresh wave of horror film viewers!

Also boasting a cast of genre legends, such as Tisa Farrow (ZOMBIE FLESH EATERS), Zora Kerova (CANNIBAL FEROX) and George Eastman (RABID DOGS), 88 Films is proud to present ANTHROPOPHAGOUS, fully uncut and uncensored, and re-mastered in 4K from the original 16mm Camera Negative.

Hell yes, can't wait to get my copy. I know this movie gets a lot of hate for being slow or boring or whatever, but it's been one of my absolute favorite horror movies since I first saw it as a teenager. Very excited to revisit it in 4K.
