I imagine (hope) that this will go the same way as The Wicker Man. There should be a standard edition in a few months. I cancelled my tat edition. The price wasn't ideal but it just looked like an absurd amount of packaging for one film and I'm probably going to run out of shelf space in a year even without buying big boxes like this.

Waited for The Wicker Man, just as I did with The Ladykillers, and will do the same with this one. Not interested in the extra bits (and higher prices), so regular editions that keep the important stuff, the discs, but in regular packaging and lower prices is my preferred option.

I'd still like to get the tape just for fun, but not at this price and I also just cancelled my "Der Dialog" pre-order before I forget to do so. When I'm sure there'll be another regular release with the proper title, I just can't bring myself to buy a relase with the German title.

I’ll always go for the big tat editions, not just because I love big box sets but also because I don’t have the patience to wait months for standard editions. Plus I don’t smoke, drink or do drugs so I can spend the extra money on the hobby. Space is at a premium but that’s not a reason to skip the big sets IMO.

I’m just gonna wait for the lazy arse Lionsgate edition. The Wicker Man was worth it for all the additional extras but this just seems like fluff.

I'm honestly getting sick of this bullshit obsession with "teal color grades". It's not a "ubiquitous Studiocanal teal" restoration, as the review so slyly mentions. We're finally getting restorations pretty damn right, given advanced scanning and grading technologies and adjusted goalposts w.r.t. faithfulness toward print film emulation, and people still complain. Unbelievable.

Whether the grain levels are really what should be being reviewed is I spose opinion but I do wonder whether this won't be another situation were people cling to a previous colour grade they grew up watching on DVD/Bluray which itself is questionable.

Worth noting that matey's projektor doesn't do WCG, so it's not the bestest way of judging UHD colour.

I was hoping to grab this next month but it appears I'm too late. I just can't justify the price for this. Sadly it was this or Hitcher this month. I hope we do get a stripped down version of this or it will go down as one of my all time big misses.
