‘Heavens To Murgatroyd!’ MeTV Toons Expands Hanna-Barbera Offerings With New Programming Block

Hoping this means more Blu-ray releases coming soon! Can’t wait to see the restorations of Huckleberry Hound, Wally Gator, Magilla Gorilla, Yogi Bear, etc.

I’d love to get this channel, but we finally cut cable out of our lives 18 months ago and can’t seem to stream it anywhere else.

Antenna? It is a free OTA channel and you may just have to rescan your channels if you already have one.

frndly TV is the cheapest streaming option. 40 channels, no locals but the channels include A&E, Lifetime, History, and others that are normally part of more expensive cable/satellite/live TV streaming services.

This shows up on my antenna listings and taunts me but was only briefly able to see some pixelated seconds of it months ago. Haven't been able to bring in a strong signal since, and I live in a major market.

It’s not available through cable. You can either buy FrndlyTv or you can watch it through an antenna depending on your location.

What does Yogi’s Treasure Hunt look like? Doesn’t anyone know if it’s been remastered? I know WAC were saying shows done in Digital paint and ink and edited on video would be less likely to get a BD release due to this. It’s a show I remember enjoying a lot in my youth.

I’ll probably get an antenna, or something like TalboTV, eventually.

Dude! Thank you! Sincerely! I’ve been trying to talk my family into dropping DIRECTV for streaming but my father who lives with us wouldn’t give up MEtv and inspiration because of his westerns. They have both and you just made my day knowing I can say “f you” to DIRECTV and save almost $150 a month.

The Huckleberry Hound Show premieres on MeTV Toons Monday April 28th!!! It will be aired Mondays through Saturdays at 6:30pmE/5:30pmC. Hopefully, the 68-episode complete series on Blu-ray Disc can't be too far behind, along with The Yogi Bear Show (all 33 episodes), too!!

Yes, I remember Yogi's Treasure Hunt very well from The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera (syndication) from 1985-87.

To answer your question, YTH did not look remastered on MeTV Toons. It pretty much looked like watching it back in the day, so I don't think Warner Archive will be offering it on disc anytime soon.

I think we can all expect The Yogi Bear Show (1961) and The Huckleberry Hound Show (1958) on Blu-ray later in 2025, along with more of the golden-era HB shows (Magilla Gorilla, Wacky Races, Peter Potamus, etc.) too.

I’m surprised The Yogi Bear Show hasn’t been announced already.

Maybe to allow for some MeTV Toons viewership of The Yogi Bear Show for a while, then WAC being able to release onto Blu-ray.
