I unboxed Cover A (Timo Wuerz) of the upcoming Turbine Medien release on Youtube already.
A great mediabook with a stunning booklet of 60 pages. The release is on January 9 and pre orders are up. |

Couldn't make it through this one. And I'm a hardcore Bloodline defender.
My Hellraiser collection is the Arrow Tetralogy set (as I much prefer the separate cases and theatrical poster sleeves over the new artwork on the Quartet of Torment) and the UK Hellraiser 2022 DVD. I don't see that changing any time soon. However... for those who like this movie, this does look like a wonderful set with a lot of effort poured into it. So for that, I'm happy for my fellow Hellraisers! |

For the completists out there, I was comparing the supplements on the Turbine 4k release with the American Lionsgate blu-ray. All of the Lionsgate extras (2 deleted or extended scenes and the gag reel) are included on the Turbine release, but the Extended Watkins Cleansing scene is edited differently on the two releases. There is alternate music and both contain different sequences.

After reading all the negative comments concerning the content of this film I was fully prepared to not like it. Took a chance and picked up the Steelbook. To my surprise I found this to be a very solid entry. Probably my third favorite in the series, behind the first two obviously.

Pre-ordered this last year but am just now finally getting around to watching it as I've been marathoning the Hellraiser Films for the last week. This looks and sounds great. I was already happy with the American release but I'm glad I sprung for the upgrade.
Having watched all the films recently I'd agree that this would sit in the upper half of the franchise sequels if for no other reason than the weirdness presented throughout. |

Definitely gobs of creative depravity and visceral grossness going on. It's rare to see this much innovative spin in a fairly modern low-budget horror, while still keeping some of the tone and atmosphere of the better, earlier entries.
