Yes, the text at the beginning has been completely translated into German.

Finally received the new German 4K set and I checked the blu-ray with the Unrated cut: It is a new disc (data time stamp 9th December 2024) and work regarding the English audio has been done.

I am sorry, it was not my intention to create confusion. I never used the image hoster before, but I can still access the image of the new waveform (link: https://ibb.co/s9kZpM9r) from the 2025 release.

Not the go-to-guy for encoding but after checking and comparing the screenshots from Caps-a-holic to the new disc, the image quality seems pretty identical to me. The bible quote at the beginning is also still German. The title sequence still uses the alternate font. Transition plays as follows: After the Guccione credit freeze frame of the coin, then zoom towards the eye, fade to black, hard cut to the bedroom scene.

We haven’t had anything since the Arrow BD which IIRC is long OOP.

They're partnering with Novobox for a "FuturePak," which I guess is similar to a Steelbook?

It's not coming out any time in the immediate future, though. Potemkine told me they're targeting a Christmas 2025 release.

I think it comes in a big box and you have to put your fist in to remove the discs.

Yes, but unlike steelbooks the spine isn't a separate piece. WB would release these instead of steelbooks, in smaller markets in early 2010s (I still have a few). Unfortunately because the plates are only held by the two plastic hinges it can break very easily after moderate use, which is why they never caught on.

I have about 5 or 6 and none of them broke on me, but each time I open one up I feel like I'm doing it for the last time. It just feels cheap when you're handling it.

Had a brief look at this last night. This is the first release where they've amended the aspect ratio of the opening titles sequence so it matches the rest of the film. It's windowboxed on the other releases (and I think when I saw it theatrically) and it always bothered me, but they "fixed" it here.
