nostalgia's a hell of a drug, and computers have made everybody mentally ill and weird just like billy baldwin in this movie lol

VS still has stock of the limited edition last I checked, but you'll have to wait until January 1 to be able to order it again, on account of Partners Only month currently going on

You had me check and mine shipped as well. Combined with Looking for mr. Goodbar. So once again they pocketed shipping that I paid 2x. Anyway. Looking forward to my Sliver movie night!

Why didn’t you use the free “Add to my existing order” shipping option when you placed your second order? That’s what you’re supposed to do.

Oh sh.t. That’s on me for trying to read as little as possible when doing anything online, really. I’ll look for that option later. Thanks for flagging it out.

It has nothing to do with nostalgia. I've never even seen Sliver but I'd prefer to see the same film that people got to see back in 1993. If a director wants to tinker with the film post-factum then include both versions. Every film is a document of the time it was made in and that's what I'd like to see. It's an archival approach to film restoration, it's quite literally what is written in the textbooks for film preservation and yet no one seems to care. Why are you even on this forum if you think caring about film preservation and technical specs is "mentally ill and weird"?

DARYL, Cannibal!,The Prophecy 3-pack, Congo, and Sliver showed up Monday the 16th for me. Huge dent in corner of pop-off triangle on Prophecy, but everything else in perfect condition. One package, but bought Congo and Cannibal about a month before the other three titles. I'm in the northeast, but not new England. Hope all your parcels arrive in time!

Is there something wrong with a 72 Mb/s average bitrate?

Nothing that a good FEL Dolby Vision layer might fix.

Now those interviews really have me wondering how the movie would have been with Brad Pitt as the lead. Billy Baldwin is not a bad co-lead though, but they really should have stuck to the original ending, at least as far as who the killer is.

Sounds like Stone was promised some kind of creative control and ended up not having it. I’d be pissed too since her name was really on the line there.

Oh Hell no! A mashup of his Meet Joe Black and Ad Astra performances, but in a claustrophobic apartment building setting? Oof! I think they were rubbing peanut butter on his gums there for a while to get the appearance of a pulse on camera. He really did achieved something with Se7en, and he truly fit the bill for his fittingly-wack trainwreck performance in Twelve Monkeys, but many of his other performances have been a seriously tough watch.

Agree, although it sounds like that original "volcano" ending was trying to do the keep-'em-guessing-even-after-the-movie-ends thing that Basic Instinct did.
I really wish they'd kept the actual ending from the book as that was just *chef's kiss* (it involved Kay's - Carly in the movie - pet cat).

I'm sure the bulk of us are in this boat. They're undoubtedly positively drowning in order fulfilments right now. Gonna be a good while before they dig out. Same deal this time every year, and I'm honestly glad they're killing it, with strong sales, and continued strong technical excellence.

I should go back to the book. I remember buying it way back then but giving up confused as it was so different from the movie.
