Well the blu's have been out in stores for a while now, starting probably around then. The date doesn't guarantee they'll ship by then. I've bought just about all of their 4k's from their site. They are never quick to ship, which is fine by me.

I really want to get some of these A24 exclusives but damn, i hate those oversized cases/books style they are using. They won't even fit on my BD cabinet. I hope they start realeasing these exclusives on nornal size BD size in the future.

Well for what it's worth, they don't do that large ass size on too many - only 6 as of now. I don't mind them, but they definitely limit where you can shelf these. Fortunately I bought the IKEA Billy bookcases last year, and they fit very well in them. But if I had a choice, I would probably pick a standard size.

All the movies with barcodes on their cases are regular sized blurays

[Show spoiler]

I also have the Billys, and fit they do not; not if you have the full eight shelves per bookcase.

I have 5 cases, and most of them have 8, but I have 2 that have 6 shelves for bigger sets and whatnot. Works great for these types of sets.

Ok without knowing anything about this, should I be making a blueberry pie for this viewing?? Sadly the spongy moths ate ALL our blueberries last year (saved the plants by spraying them and getting traps which worked awesome!) but we have none in the freezer now. But I'm not against buying some for this to make a pie! We do sometimes like eating foods to go with our movies, like Blade Runner we make homemade ramen, for Angel Heart jambalaya, Rosemary's Baby we make chocolate "mouse", cubano for Chef, for the Godfather we'll make something like a lasagna or just spaghetti etc.

Yes. Went to a screening where they gave us a slice of pie roughly one-third to halfway through the movie. It definitely “enhanced” the experience. Especially if it smells like blueberry pie before that.

Small gripe...wish they shipped directly instead of the stupid shipping partner thing. It always delays my items.

Cut out the middle man and give it directly to the USPS instead of DHL to USPS.

My copy is 220 miles away. Could possibly be here Friday but, probably not until Saturday.

My copy of the 4K was just delivered. A24 got this to me quicker than any of the boutique shops.

Got mine today. Not a huge fan of A24’s barcode packaging design. The art itself on the cover is great, but the inside where the art cards are held seems very flimsy. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite films of last year and I’m excited to watch it again after my kid goes to bed tonight!

Watched this last night and that was a mighty fine 4K disc presentation on all fronts. It was also a blind buy and I regret missing it in theaters. Loved it.

I'm surprised Grant didn't get nominated for an Oscar - it was a great and controlled performance. In a role like this it is easy to play it as a buffoon. He did not.

His performance is ultimately what kept this from turning into a disappoint for me. I expected something much different from what the film ended up being but thanks to Grant's performance was quite satisfied in the end. Had he played the role any other way or had anyone else been cast, I can't say for sure that I would have left the theater as pleased.

Unrelated: Do A24 shop exclusives usually get reviewed here? I'd like to pick up the 4k but given the interior and relatively few environments this movie offers, I want to be sure that the 4k is worth the extra money before dropping extra coin on it. If the visual impact is marginal over the Blu Ray, I may just go with that instead. Anyone aware of any reviewers that have looked at both editions?

Horror doesn't typically get nominations in the acting category, which is truly a crime.

I'll always be salty about Toni Collette not getting a nod for Hereditary, Lupita Nyong'o for Us or even Florence Pugh for Midsommar.

At least we get Demi Moore this year But, you are right about those other actors, and their performances. They were all great in those roles.
