Bit on that pre-order price. I was always going to buy it eventually but I don't need the day 1 tax. Although, I do get FOMO with Kino releases because I need that slip to cover up their ugly spine font.

Batman and No Matter What by Badfinger are all that I know were replaced on video. What else changed on video?

The price is tempting, but Amazon will most definitely throw this inside a brown paper bag, and it will arrive with multiple creases. SF and Kino slipcovers are so flimsy I'd rather just pay a few extra dollars and order from Atomic or Orbit, where I know it will be wrapped in bubble wrap and shipped inside a box.

Not quite: $19.99 five years ago is 24 and change today, depending on the calculator used. All else being equal, you're getting a deal.

I am the few who actually enjoyed Wayne's World 2 more than the first. I have the Wayne's World double feature blu ray and probably sticking with that. From what I heard the first Wayne's World in 4K was not a huge improvement either. I was tempted to bite on this for the cheaper price.

I’m the same. I think WW2 is a good chunk better than WW. Better gags, more of them, played with greater confidence. Plus…

Christopher Walken
Del Preston!
Kung Fu fight with Cassandra’s dad
Kevin Pollack dot the eyes!
Naked Indian
Handsome Dan and Mr Scream
Kim Basinger
Charlton Heston hilarious cameo!

Too much great stuff to mention.

The first is still great and of course layed the template, but WW2 took it to new heights.

All that said, I’ll probably stick with my 4K iTunes copy.

I love WW2 as much as the next man, it's great, but the lack of Penelope Spheeris in the director's chair hurts it - not fatally - but the direction feels very pedestrian in comparison to Wayne's World.

Eh, I don't know who told you that, but...not the case. The *substantial* PQ improvements over the BD aside, they also restored the Stairway joke. Great 4K release IMO. But really, whoever said that it's not much of an improvement over that BD...wow...

Surprised to see this has reversible art! Always like when the slip and case have different art.

Agree with all of this. Thought the PQ of the original was a massive step up, and the restored Stairway joke is reason alone to make the upgrade.

Watching WW2 now, very nice transfer! I did see the BD fairly recently, which has the typical flat Paramount comedy look. This is a nice uptick in detail for the most part. Odd shots seem to be fighting with that flatness, but adds to pretty good. The desert scenes with Jim really stand out.

Surprised these haven’t gotten an unwanted sequel 30 years later.

It's so weird to see the new Lilo & Stitch and see what Tia Carrere looks like today, when her younger self is still burned in my mind from this movie.
