Just had an email from HMV, "we've just been advised by the manufacturers, that the release date has been changed to TBC.

Got the same. Wonder how long they push it back.

Ordered July 10th with Amazon. Still showing arrival date of Oct 3rd (I don't have prime, hence the delay). This is a special set to say the least and hoping it remains limited.

A bit off topic but anyone with an AMC theater might want to check if the original NOES is showing on October 1. My theater has a showing that day with Friday the 13th showing on 10/8.

This gatekeeper attitude is so absurd and embarrassing.

If you are looking to re-sell it to make a profit then I can understand such an attitude, 100% and all the power to you! But anyone who is buying something with the intent of keeping it or consuming it themselves; why the **** would you care whether it was limited or not? You have absolutely nothing to lose by having it available to as many people as possible other than the ability to brag about having something that someone else doesn’t have - and what a sad and absolutely pathetic existence to have.

Dude, I like nice things. I hope you are enjoying your existance. Certainly trying to make the most of mine. Sorry it doesn't appear that you were able to acquire the steelbook set and that you don't like my opinion. I'm a collector and like nice, limited things.
I don't know if you're aware of this, but there's a parallel thread for the mass-produced set. You may want to go play in that sandbox if unable to handle being in the thread that talks about the LIMITED EDITION set. In all sincerity, have a wonderful day (and life)

Relax, homie!

Whether it is limited or not - it’s literally the same thing...

I also have the limited set on order but I couldn’t give a damn that it’s limited - I just think it’s a beautiful presentation of a product that I enjoy, on a personal level. I wish that everybody had access to it. Why the **** not? Making it limited and keeping it out of the hands of passionate collectors and fans alike is unfortunate, in any scenario. Taking pride in it even more so, especially when you have nothing to gain.

I also collect sneakers and it’s the exact same racket. Everybody takes so much pride in something simply because they have it and the next man doesn’t but the real heads only want for everybody to be able to play. We wear our shoes and we love to see others wearing the same stuff. The more the merrier! What happened to community?

My enjoyment of what I own is not enhanced or diminished by who else does or doesn’t have the same shit that I do. Having more people have it doesn’t devalue it whatsoever if there is no intention to profit from it.

What a goofy idea and a weird culture!

Different worlds, pal.

I appreciate your concern for the "common man". In order to right this injustice, you should probably cancel your order to allow another person the chance to own it. Same with your expensive shoes that you felt compelled to tell us about (in a movie forum). You have the right to your opinion (as I do mine). But don't be that extra special type who attacks others when their opinion doesn't align.
That approach-it's not appreciated.
I don't buy your false modesty and you don't like my approach to collecting. Stay in your lane, I'll stay in mine

Essentially, Relax homie! Live and let live.
