Alright. Family Guy: Lame jokes. The things worth watching on there is Stewie and whatever the dogs name is on there. They make the show. Not the " That's just like the time.....and something totally not related to the subject pops up." Come on man. I'm not saying the whole show is bad. There's a few good ones. They just don't have as many classics as South Park.

Love it when SP craps on FG.

In south park's defense, even the episodes that don't have a ton of belly laughs are at least very well structurally written... unlike other animated shows that are all gags and weak plot. South Park for the win!

this week's episode was funny. but, i got lost with all of the movie refrences. apparently it referenced Grapes of Wrath, Close Encounters, and some Steven Segal movie(Randy's speech at the end). idk man. their references are getting as vague as Family Guy. or maybe it's just me. because i didn't get the Heavy Metal reference in the Boobs episode. idk...

I love their refrences, even the obsucre ones. No matter what they're always 100x better than Family Guy's because the staff writers are wittier.

i'll admit, i kind of like family guy. but it is and never will be anything compared to south park. both shows have good humor and dumb stuff, with family guy exhibiting more of the dumb, but south park pulls it off easier. this may sound kind of weird, but i think you have to be intelligent to be a south park fan. to really GET what they're doing. Family Guy is viewed by any and every idiot. trust me, everyone i know who prefers FG over SP is as smart as a lamp post.

While there are more and more episodes that just miss the mark (Bill and Peter's Bogus Adventure, Mother Tucker, Prick Up Your Ears, I Take Thee Quagmire, I've Got Woods, McStroke, etc.) Seasons 6 and 7 still feature Family Guy's trademark humour. While it really is a crap season, I bought Season 6 because the show can still make me laugh (and because Road to Rupert from S6 is an excellent, excellent episode).

Season 1 of Family Guy is okay, but the humor has no depth. Season 2 is the best, followed closely by Season 3, although around this time you could see the show was changing style (Season 3 also has my favourite ever episode, Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows). Season 4, while trying to appeal too much to teenagers, is still a hilarious season. Same with Season 5.

South Park started off a good show. At about Season 3, it became a better show. And at around Season 6, it became an even better show. At around Season 9, it became a bad show. At around Season 11, it became a worse show (I'm leaving Season 10 out of this, it's a fantastic season). While South Park may still have imaginative plots and the satire is still up to quality, and while they still know how to parody something, the humour is become nauseatingly stale and repetitive. South Park was always a funny show, but you just cannot even compare its humour to the brilliance of Family Guy and Drawn Together.

In reply to Drawn Together not being brilliant. It isn't a brilliant show at first. But it knows it's not a brilliant show, which is what makes it a brilliant show. Drawn Together is as funny as Family Guy. While it doesn't have the same unique sense of humour (okay, it does sometimes) that doesn't stop it from crossing the line and being downright hilarious. There are some episodes of DT that I would proudly disown if I was involved with the show, but there isn't an episode I've seen that hasn't been able to redeem itself in some way.
Family guy was never in any way brilliant. you think thats bad? remember the time I stole five dollars from an Indian waiter?
Let's look at this in terms of a spoof movie.
South Park= Shaun of the Dead. Hilarious yet people still didn't see it.
Family Guy= Epic Movie. Complete tosh yet it makes millions.

Drawn Together is aweful. Rather watch Robot Chicken

Jesus Christ. How pathetic is this thread. I am obviously loads more intelligent than most of you losers who call everyone who enjoys Family Guy idiots. If you're going to argue with me, at least pull it off in a way that doesn't make you look like a retard.

I call any one who says "Family Guy is brilliant" an idiot. and despite your long posts you haven't actually said anything convincing.

Here's an idea: Compare the quality of my posts to your posts and I think it'll become clear who is the real idiot here.

PS. YAY 100th post!

To all the rest of you, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.

sorry to offend you. it's just that every person i've come in contact with who likes that show is a moron. so, with the experiences i've had, it's hard not to come to that conclusion.

I have, and I must ask what makes you think your intelligence and/or posts are so superior? Just because you have some posts that are editorial-length? This is a forum, not a blog. I guess I shouldn't be that surprised, Giggidy Giggidy Giggidy.

Well firstly, I can spell. Secondly, I don't call everyone idiots for liking a show that I don't personally like. And thirdly, I listed reasons why the two shows are different, listing both their good and their bad points so no one here can accuse me of not backing up my opinions or providing a good argument. Must I explain myself further?
