My BBY got about 120 copies of the 2-disc Wall-E, but only 12 of the 3-disc set. The 3-disc was sold out by 1pm.... Usually we get replenished by the end of the week though, and normally this time around they send us alot... So if yours is out, expect it to be in the store by Friday.

Oh look, they have the 3-disc Wall-E in stock and available for me to pick up.
What to do...what to do...

FYI, png would make that look crystal clear without those artifacts. It's the lossless way to save photos!

The closest best buy to me had a lot of the 2-disc version, which is what i wanted anyways. They were sold out of the 3-disc version. I don't think they had that many...the 3 disc section looked small, maybe like a handful.

What was wrong with your Wall•E? Mine was in mint condition and it played fine on a PS3. I thought Wall•E was a compassionate artificial intelligence. If only more humans in OUR WORLD were like him. But instead, we are more like the flabby wasted flesh addicted to TV (in HD?) as seen in the movie. The message? You tell me.

Went after work to Target near my office and found a ton of SD Wall E's everywhere. Front entrance, cashiers aisle's and electronics. All over, everywhere standard def Wall E's. Asked one of the employees where the Blu Ray Wall E's were and they were all sold out! Amazing! Ended up going to Best Buy, where they had a ton of 2 disc, and getting them to price match Frye's for 25.99. Saved a buck and got a Wall E rubiks cube to boot!

I went to my local Wal-Mart today and wasn't expecting to see what I did. They had about 30 copies of WallE, Tropic Thunder, Star wars the clone wars and a big bunch of other Blu-rays. That is great because this a normal Wal-mart and not a super center and do not keep Blu-rays because it's a small town. I get my Blu-rays about 40 miles away at a supercenter. I am glad because now I wont have to travel to get a new movie. I went and after I seen that they had hellboy II but was sold out I didn't get any Blu-rays today and just got a 360 and Gears 2 limited editon.

I saw three of those today.

It's not the retailers, guys. It's Disney. They had a production problem with the Blu-rays and couldn't ship a huge portion of their preorders for street date. To make it worse, they wouldn't pay for expedited shipping to help us retailers out. Problem should be resolved before Friday for most major chains.

I sometimes wonder how calculated this was. As a parent, I had to fork over money to buy a DVD version for my kids today, KNOWING that I'm buying the Blu-ray later. LoL! BTW- I don't really think this was their plan, but it works nonetheless.

Just went to my Walmart after work at 10pm and they still had PLENTY of wall-e blu's (2&3 disc versions), tropic thunder and Hellboy 2.

Mine was very well stocked.

Is there a difference in size between the 2 editions? If not, I may just sneak a slip cover off of the 3-disc and put in on the 2-disc; I don't really care about a digital copy.

It's not too big of a deal stopping by the BB that's right on my way home from work. I guess i'm tired of hearing the price of gas excuse. GAs is 1.75 at QT. Enough already. Besides, most people on this board don't strike me as living on skid row or anything.
You're right there. Money is definitely not tight for me but I still like ordering online. Actually Deatsville, where I live is 10 minutes from Montgomery so the shopping here is no problem at all. Just don't like driving and searching.

Thank you Amazon for the fast delivery to my door.

Actually I have been lucky enough to never have received anything damaged from Amazon or any other online purchases. I have however purchased discs in stores on occasion and found that the middle part that holds the disc was broken. After all they do have to ship to stores so the damage in shipping argument is moot. Also I do shop locally a lot. I rent from a small mom and pop video store. My point was this. I used to do what a lot of folks on here do, drive around looking for stuff. As I get older I'm much more frugal with my money. If I wasn't I wouldn't have the things I do. Someone mentioned gas price being lower now. Good point but to me it's not an excuse for me to be wasteful and go back to what I used to do when I was younger. It's a matter of how you want to spend your hard earned money. To each his own.

A local Blockbuster Video store didn't get their BD shipment till late afternoon. All people looking before that for the BD were outta luck. I was told some rented the SD DVD instead. They had a few BDs available when I got there so I snagged one. I wasn't planning to purchase this and will watch tonight.

Not sure where the problem is with some of these new releases on BD whether it is the studio, distribution, shipping etc. etc. The stores seem to have plenty of the SD DVDs on time.

I had a really difficult time finding the 3 disc. As none of my best buys or walmarts had any, and I surprisingly found one at walmart and got it for the same price as the 2 disk!!

at my circuit city store, we have a br/plasma demo set up at the very front of the store and play the new releases on it for that week. low and behold we havent recieved a blu ray new release shipment for 3 weeks. found out it is because when they filed for chapter 11 protection, all pending purchase orders were cancelled and had to be resubmitted. standard dvds are purchased well in advance, but blu rays are made maybe 3 weeks from release or so. but we got our copies of wall-e and tropic thunder in wednesday, plus about 30 copies of hellboy 2, and a few other new releases from the last few weeks. so if some stores are out i would expect it to be due to a purchase order problem as well, as that seems to happen to our local target and walmart quite often.

I tried to rent it and it was out. Got a free coupon for guaranteed stock or it's free. I'll check back in a few days, at least now I get to watch it for free to see if I like it, if so, I'll rush out to the store for the 3 disc set.
