The wife is also going to Hawaii with her grandmother in a couple of weeks. So yeah, upgrade time for me!

My little brother is talking to his wife, he said he might buy them.

I will probably sell them for $350 to him.

Edit: Oh, and thanks guys. I really hope it works out!

Well, no takers on the speakers yet. They are set at $380 on Craigslist and not even a nibble. I guess I will try reducing them again if I don't see any kind of action.

I remember wanting to sell my $500 MSRP HTiB for $300 on craiglist - then I had a bunch of friends who were like, 'Sure Ill buy that off you for $250!' and in the end I had to sell it out for $120 on Craigslist. Just ran out of patience. These are Polks, yes, but - geez, it can be frustrating to sell on Craigslist. Hmm, Jason, you know what? I just checked out of curiosity - Newegg.com isn't helping your cause, they have 2 M50s, 2 M30s, and a CS1 brand new all for $380...($99.99 + $99.99 + $49.99 + $49.99 + $79.99)

Dang online retailers.

Dang, I paid like $480 for all of them. I guess if I don't see any action I will drop it to $300 at the end of the week.

I figure if I will get something out of them, they are really great speakers in great condition. I just want to minimize the cost of the Paradigms as much as possible.

I hear ya, it's tough i know. Especially when you are a motivated seller, patience is the key.

Turns out the shop gave me bad pricing initially, it will be close to 900 dollars for a pair of the v6 Monitor 7s. More saving to do then....

Also, 0 bites on the Polks priced at $310 for all of them. I might just say screw it and keep them for the man cave.

You know, believe it or not, I questioned how the Monitor 7 towers would be so cheap! I thought you got good negotiating skills. Damn shame though. Of course, you have now been tempted, and now you will not rest until Paradigm Monitors are in your hands!

That's good info to know, I have no local Monitor Audio dealers. Similarly priced to the Paradigms, B&Ws, PSBs.

Are you sure there are none near you? I had to call a 800 number off of Monitor's site, they gave me a local dealers number who does auditioning by appointment only and it can be in home.

WAIT! No, that was Swan - Monitor has only one in Florida, and it's around my mother's house, fortunatley - an hour's drive to the north of Miami. I really thought the Silver series were higher priced than that. I was limiting myself to testing the Bronze line. Gold isn't bad either!

Another reduction on the Polks, this is about as low as I am willing to go. If they don't sell, they don't sell. More speakers for me!

http://stlouis.craigslist.org/ele/1128908526.html

Talked with the wife, and the Paradigms are mine regardless within 2-3 months.

That's a really good price! If there are no takers now, it is not worth selling for lower than that.
