+1.

The other scene that I always show off audio for is the start of I am Legend when he is running the car around the streets. Amazing.

everyone's going to have TDK on that list December 9th! I purchased a 42" and a surround system and a PS3 just for that movie alone! Blu-ray is unreal.

I have to say Transformers and Master & Commander. Actually, let me change that to Master & Commander, then Transformers.

Master and Commander, as far as I am concerened, has the best AQ so far.

It is more than one great moment of sound in the movie. It is throughout. Plus great speaker separation. That separation caused my wife to keep looking into the kitchen when the ship was creaking. The creaking was all over the room.

The cannon shots and explosions made the couch jump. I felt as if I were actually on the ship in the middle of the action.

I watched it twice in the same evening and going to watch it many times over.

The final battle in POTC3 is pretty intense. But for pure all around quality nine inch nails beside you in time gets my vote.

I have never seen Master And Commander. I think I should rent it on BD and enjoy it for the 1st time ever in Master Audio.

Mmm, Helicopter scene in Matrix, but without a sub, it lacks the OOMPH I experienced at Worst Buy's speaker room.

Last fight scene in Matrix Revolutions was viewed the other day... :

This thread pushed me over the edge..... I bought "Master and Commander" for $15 shipped (Trade forum) so I'll get to enjoy it for the first time.....

I can watch it on the projector with audio gear now.... before I was in the process of tearing apart the system, so I watched it on my little 37" with no audio gear connected

Skirmish in the Hills - Chapter 14 of Pan's Labyrinth

Great surround effects with really fast and tight bass.

Master and Commander all the way through is great and the best I have. Also think the attack in Pearl Harbor sounded great.

Lot's of good scenes mentioned here... however, there is one that is seriously overlooked in this thread.

Kung Fu Panda This movie really should be in every bass nuts collection.

The "Skadoosh" scene produces a deep bass (mid 20Hz) wave of sound that you can feel as is passes through the room. It really is incredible...

Another great scene is when Tai Long escapes from prison. The part where the stalactites explode from the ceiling produces some deep bass explosions, followed by some thunderous crashes when they hit the bridge.

No one has mentioned Flags of our Fathers?! The scene where the battleships are bombarding Iwo Jima is pretty damn impressive.

I can still remember sitting in the theater watching that one. I dunno if they were running DD or DTS, but the first time one of those went off my face lit up in an automatic grin that just got bigger with each successive explosion. I got it on DVD when it first came out. I must have missed that it was out on Blu-ray, so I'll have to grab it.

Bumping this back up for The Dark Knight. I just can't get over how dynamic this soundtrack is! I thought it was really awesome and was really reminiscient of the theater experience for me. I'm amazed that people are saying the mix isn't good or that it is too quiet in dialog. I still hold Hellboy 2 as the highest audio that I personally own, but man, The Dark Knight sounded awesome to me.

towards the end of Dark Knight, where joker blows up the hospital is amazing. My living room suddenly was in that scene, as if I was standing in that parking lot watching the building go down. Almost got up to turn my sub down!

In my listening room also. Not just my subwoofer, but my surrounds too came alive with the sound of debris from the explosion hitting the ground. I could hear it all around me.

For those who have not watched Layer Cake, I don't want to spoil it for you, so please read at your own discretion.

For me, in Layer Cake, the scene that stood out was the "sniper fire" in the later half of the film.

The velocity and impact of those bullets whizzing by your head from the rear speakers was impressive.

I remember jumping and looking around me when they went off. I rewatched the movie with a friend, and when that scene came around, I kept one eye on my friend to see his reaction.

Epic.

The others everyone has mentioned basically. Iron Man, Live Free or Die Hard (don't forget the fighter jet scene!), and some bits of Cloverfield, and same with Tears of the Sun. I loved U-571 on DVD on my old system when it first came out, but for some reason, I wasn't all that impressed this time around in Blu. I didn't feel the LFE much at all. Oh and Sunshine! Virtually all the scenes where the camera was panning the exterior of the ship(s).
