I'd get to watching it if I were ya. Its fantastic. I've watched it numerous times since 11/11/08. Blu ray of the year 2008!

ummmm, i think it was the director of cinamatographer that probably wanted that effect in there... film makers often choose those grainy scenes for effect. through out the BOB series you will see it again as well as some episodes that look nearly black and white... again done for effect not as a mistake.

I haven't talked to not one person who once watching BOB has hated it..or really even said anything bad about the series. It's that well done.

Damian Lewis is great! Check this out if you can. It's only released in the UK.

He's also good in NBC's "Life" and Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher"

Hands down the best blu-ray in my opinion. With each episode you become more and more amazed at how dynamic the sound is and how beautiful the picture is, along with one of the greatest stories ever, personally atleast.

I never understand the non-opening plastic wrap business. Even if I don't want to watch a new movie that day I still like to look at the artwork. It's mind boggling not to open it.

Me too. I want to make sure all the discs are there and in good condition...even if I wont be watching it for a day or two.

Watching Damian Lewis in Band of Brothers is priceless. Just watch his character progression from Currahee all the way through to Points. His acting is flawless as are most of the other actors. The cast is perfect.

Just watched the last 3 episodes in a row. This is an epic minseries and the best War reenactment that i have ever seen. It was like 10 hours of Saving Private Ryan. Great Characters and AUDIO was banging.
