Oh wait, I misread the title...
I think those are your favorites. Except Batman Forever. I think you really like Batman and Robin and you just don't want to admit it.

Superbad?? really??? I thought it had funny moments... but SERIOUSLY! These are the same kids who would have said "American Pie" 5 years ago today (has it been out 5 years????)
-- I haven't laughed that hard in a long time watching SuperBad. Part of it reminds me of my past, which is why it has a special place in my heart.

Some of the classics though, I have tried and tried, and I just can't get through them. 2001 for example... I just don't get it.

I also tried to stay away from the same ole flicks, like Stars Wars (which I remember seeing in the drive-in), Gladiator, etc.

If you are talking the BEST movies ... yeah, none of mine would be on the list.

No Order, I say....

Godfather
Star Wars (New Hope)
Pulp Fiction
The Shining
One Flew Over the CooCoo's nest
Citizen Kane

I Agree just add
Empire (Episode V not the liguizamo movie),
Highlander
Gladiator
Raiders of Lost Arc
Jaws
Apocalypse Now

I know there is more than 5

I belive there are technicaly two catigories:
your favorite films and those that have historical meaning in film history.

Any films that fit the latter category are usually in many peoples favs.

Such as Godfather, Jaws, Kane, Star Wars, Pulp, LOTR these are just amazing films and stand alone.

Very hard choice to make but in no particular order...

The Matrix
Blade Runner
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (all as good as each other IMO)
Star Wars Episode IV
Spider-Man 2

That's just off the top of my head though and could certainly change if given enough thought to this question.

Default new list

I think we should start a list of guilty pleasures instead of favs since so many are the same.

3:10 to Yuma
POTC - all 3
LOTR - all 3
Episode III
National Treasure

Most other stuff is forgettable

Yeah, and I'm still not clear why that is. Must be a rights issue.

I love old movies. If you check my 5 there was only one since 1946, and that was The Godfather.

Godfather 2
Rear Window
Lawrence of Arabia

Psycho

I do like older movies. Ok not 20s to 50s movies.
