Famous last words, huh, tiger? I see you have at least one of those still for sale, and if I'm not mistaken, you had what, TWO John Rambo SteelBooks? I still don't think I'll ever own JR (the original or the 2nd version). If the first three Rambo films get a decent SteelBook release, then I might rethink it, but I'm okay with never owning it in a SteelBook FOR NOW (lol! Let's see if I wind up eating my own words in a year or so).

There are several of the TF1 French SteelBooks I don't plan on ever getting simply because I don't like the movie enough to justify buying it, much less buying it twice to replace the disc in it 'cos of forced subs. I could mention a few other notables from Germany and elsewhere, but THE ONE SteelBook I will NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER own is Sex and the City. I tried watching the tv show, couldn't get into it, and I have no desire whatsoever to want to own the movie. I'd just as soon give it away if I ever did get it (well, I'd TRY to give it away).

I eaten my words so may times on this forum, I'm fat now. lol
Yeah I still have Usuaďa Nature & Les Animaux Amoureux but I manage to sell Anthony Kavanagh.com, talk about that for an achievement.

My worldwide list of steelbooks is getting shorter by the day but my FS stach is still getting bigger, I decided that starting with the Book of Eli I'll drastically change my buying habbit. I won't buy 20-50 of each releases, 3-5 max.

Cheers,
Gui.

I have to agree with the Sex and the City steelbook, i would never watch that movie. I'm also one of the few people that hated Iron Man, the steelbook looks nice but at the crazy prices it goes for and the fact i hate the movie i wouldn't want to own it.

I don't want to own any movie that I don't really want to own.
I even went to the extent that I did not buy the Lord of the Rings steelbooks just because I want the EEs and I refuse to double dip.
I only buy steelbooks of movies I like.

+1... I'd be embarrassed to have the steelbook for Pirates 3, for example, because of how awful I thought the movie was, even if the sb did look pretty.

For the most part, I try to buy steelbooks of movies I actually like or think I'll like, but I have made a few exceptions, including the 10,000 BC German cracked paint version.

But there are couple that I will only get if I feel really compulsive to complete a collection and I have a mint/sealed copy of every other steelbook out there (which I'm not really aiming for right now):

Dead or Alive
Far Cry (Uwe Boll's death would make the world a better place)
Sex in the City
The Patriot
Any foreign language region-specific movie, since they typically are Region B and don't have English subtitles, a double-whammy of pointlessness

I have all three Pirates of the Caribbean SteelBooks, and I'm not embarrassed by any of them. I didn't think Pirates 3 was that awful though.

I picked up the LOTR SteelBook, but I still have not picked up the actual discs. I might wait for the EE's to come out, but if I find them for the right price, then I'll cave and get them.

So you're saying you won't watch LOTR on blu-ray untill 2017?

Pretty much all of the most expensive ones. I will only purchase a steel of a Blu if its a movie I love and would buy normally. Outside of Iron Man (which is one of the the only expensive Steels I want based on my love of the film) I have zero interest in Rambo, IAM and so on...to me they are mediocre films that I wouldn't and have not bought the normal editions of...

I'm sure I'll cave and get them sooner than that. I'm not really holding out for the EE's like others, I'm just not in a big hurry to get them. I have WAY too many blu's right now that are unwatched. If I feel the urge to watch LOTR, I have the regular versions in a dvd SteelBook as well as the dvd EE's. I'm in no hurry to watch them in hi-def, especially with the reviews I've read.

Hehe, give it a chance, watch all movies in a row and it will start growing on you. I hated 2 and 3 when I watched them in the theater because to tell you the truth I did not understand them. But after a couple of viewings and getting to know the story and what is going on, they are really good movies.
Kinda like StarWars, when I first saw it I was a kid and hated it since there is not much action in it but it grew on me when I got hooked on the story.

The reviews have been a little too hard on The Fellowship it looked and sounded pretty decent, The Two Towers and Return of the King were great.

I feel the exact same way. Out of all the expensive steels, Iron Man is the only one I care about. All the other films are pretty weak and I don't even want the regular blu-rays of. It's only SteelBooks of movies I like for me.

Thanks, I just wish they won't soar like Inglourious Basterds...
I might regret this but I'm re-evaluating my priorities.
