So far Metacritic hasn't released any reviews yet, so I've got nothing.

Well, I've been playing Demon's Souls, so don't need a new hack and slash game, that's good enough for me, and I still have plenty to do to tide me over till later this month.

But if Sacred 2 is a good port for PS3 I'll look into it anyway. I just want to make sure it's not a terrible port.

i want demons souls as well but paying 75 bucks to import it is too much .. and i cant be bothered with ebay anymore ..

The $50 price at Amazon makes me worry a little bit too. I hope they didn't take too many shortcuts on this

Ok 4 hours in and the game has lived up to my hopes. I don't know what the of bugs were but so far haven't come across any issues. I will post more thorough impressions tomorrow when I'm not on my touch

Good to hear, as long as it is a decent port, I will have to pick it up. I have a couple of Amazon gift cards anyways so that will take care of it

some quick hits

love the ability to zoom the camera where i want it .no preset zooms you can fully adjust it with the right stick

love the button layout .. basically the 4 buttons are assinged to weapons , spells , special abilities , etc .. but R2 and L2 act as shifts for the buttons .. basically giving you 12 quick buttons ...

game is a little overwhelming at first with the different skills , upgrading skills ,and the such it took me about 2 hours before i really started understanding what i was doing when levelling up the skills and picking different branches of the skills ... though i still dont fully understand it all yet ..

you CAN enter the random buildings all around which i thought was a nice touch ,. no loading .. when you enter the door the roof goes invisible to see inside ..

the graphics are pretty solid

theres a lot of options for the online .. allowing strangers in or private invites amount of people .. what level the people have to be etc ..

so far my only complaint is
seeing as its an open world .. i wish once you found a person with a quest ( people with question marks over the head ) the world map shouldshow it ..as it stands you either have to take every quest you come across ( which ive been doing so far ) or hope to remember where the person was when you decide to go back to it ...

its easy to get lost

ill post more after i get some more playtime in..

for the record i started with the shadow warrior .. who was raised from the dead .. actually a pretty funny opening sequence .. and i believe every character class with have a completely different opening sequence and location . as how mine started was pretty specific to my character me thinks ..

oh another downside though minor ..

you can only start one character per difficulty level ..
so i started on bronze
if i wanted to start a second character and work 2 games at the same time . i would have to choose another difficulty level ..

im not sure of hte reasoning behind this .. but a minor detail

That is f'n retarded. I guess i could just copy my file over to a diff acount on my machine and delete the game saves. but thats dumb.

At first I didn't mind because I was thinking, whats the point in having a new character? Now I realize that its to try out the different races.

Oh well, if thats the way it is, thats the way it is. I don't mind playing only 1 character at a time.

Yeah, I don't mind too much either. What I do mind is that this just went back up to $56.99 on Amazon.

I was hoping it would stay the same, I guess it was just a special pre-order incentive though.

That works too, but its still a hassle to export a save file and overwrite it just to play a new class.

also there is no trading between 2 people playing on hte same machine you can only trade with people online .

anyone who gets the game add me GoodIntentions jsut let me know your from here and for this game .. there are a few trophies tied to online ( host a game , trade with someone ,etc ) id like to find out what the hidden trophies are as well .. theres like 10 of them ..

well heres what i can say about the quest system

there are 3 types of quests
white color side quests not important to story or finishing game involve things like kill x amount of creature , retrieve x amount of items , escort my stupid son home cause hes out and about with the monsters

green color ( i think it was green ) hero quests .. these are specific to the character you play the game with .. i havent done one yet though one is marked on my map ..

gold color main story quests ...

also one thing that is a little annoying .. every creature/person has a golden glow circle around them that tells you if they are lower level ,equal , or higher level then you ... i guess its nice to see ahead if its gonna be atough fight or not .. but its a little distracting with a lot of things on screen at once ..
