Usually all of Apples new stuff comes out in late August or early September.

For sure, firmware 3.0 will be released around June.
Also, rumor has it, the new iPhone will be N routing among other things.

I'm waiting to see Apple/AT&T come out with a version of Verizon's Hub for the home. Something that interacts well with the iPhone and and your home network. Basically a giant iPhone for your kitchen counter that has a handset you can carry around the house. That will be the day I finally dump my landline.

funny you mention giant iphone. as thats one of the rumors..well kinda. a netbook of sorts, really. hidden deep in the firmware is mention of 2 other devices besides the touch and iphone.

I doubt its true but a few of the sites I looked at for news about the upcoming Iphone said it might not be just for AT&t and it might be also for verizon... But again I really doubt it I think thats like over 40% of at&t's users

Weren't Tablet PC's going to fill in that niche? I know the idea works in practice at UCLA since they basically replaced charts with them.

Nokia was on the right track with the Tablets.

Plus, Verizon's idea doesn't rid of your landline, it integrates your mobile life into the home network through FiOS.

FiOS is great, fast service.

I hope so.... it'll be great. I don't know if everyone knows this.... but when you have multiple iphones...... when you buy an app for one phone.... you can download it free on the other phone/s. It'll be great to have all the apps on a bigger screen on the kitchen bar too.

i think we'll see tablets come back in the form of netbooks. there are already a few with tablet like screens. price is what killed the tablets anyways

yeah my dads really into that he just got a new 12'' hp one with an ssd exc. but his company took all the packaged software off and it disabled one of the buttons and so he went into the bios and tried to fix it wound up crashing the Hd lol... I'll get the model number once he gets it back. we have tons of tablets all over the house about 5 types of fujitsu's, maybe 3 hp's.. two samsungs and two htc's

I really think they could make a Sh** ton of money if they took that macbook air and made it swing around and work as a tablet pc.

Not sure why I did not see this thread. Anyways, I am awaiting the new iPhone and seeing what it will have. Not sure if I will be upgrading as my current phone does everything I want it to. Also with the 3.0 update coming, it's only going to get better. I don't think I will be one of those people that upgrade just for a little bump in power.

I am also awaiting AT&T's microcell device. Have not heard anything more on that.

Something not too much better than what you have but with just enough features to make you want to purchase it thereby perpetuating the constant cycling that Steve wants. Same with all Apple products

Not enough to spend $400+ dollars or extend your contract for yet another 2 years. That's going by what the rumors are though.

yeah I could see how if you have one now it might not make alot of sense but now for the people who are on the fence (me) the features if true that they've added + the chip/ram boost makes it the phone to have hands down.
