That packaging is actually rather disappointing to me. Seems like it would be easy to damage the discs.

The screens there make me want this more. When it comes out next week, may pick it up from deep discount. With the 25% off, it would be about $170 for the whole set. Thats sick.

No Doubt, just jealousy! Seriously I thought it was a 20 disc set but it looks like season 1 has only 4. Also I read on the Digital Bits that the center could be used to hole the upcoming webisodes and The Plan is it big enough for that? I cannot wait to get my hands on this one.

Correct. The deepdiscount codes should work as soon as the site changes the set's status from preorder to available. If you combine the 25% code with a 4% rebate from bing.com, then the total price for the set should be around $156.

To answer a few questions:
-It is easy to get the discs out, but it's not as easy to get them back in. The holder isn't glued very well, so the inside slides a bit down when putting the discs back in. I have taken every disc out several times, and luckily no scratches.
-Can't really help you with the main titles music, I didn't even know there was another
-My FedEx invoice says it weighs 5.0 lbs/2.3 kg, but that including the shipping box.
-I can't see how one would fit the webisodes and The Plan in this box.

Search for participating merchants alphabetically to find DEEP DISCOUNT, click on the DD link and shop til you drop. BING will send you an email within a few hours of the order's confirmation.

How can you tell when the status has changed to available?
All I see when I view the product page is 'BUY NOW' with no status to be seen?
I know some sites have been sending these early, anyone know if this happens much with DeepDiscount?

Cant say Im a big fan of the packaging. Sounds like custom cases may have to be an option here.

Thanks for responding. In the US, the main title music for season one was different from the other three seasons. In the UK, it was the same throughout.

If you wouldn't mind, could you compare the title sequence from a season one episode with one from any other season?

The difference is pretty obvious, once you know what to listen for. The UK music starts with the female vocals that we all know and love. The US music has a more militaristic drum thing going on, with no vocals.

Thanks again!

On the 28th, it will be available. You would just have to wait until that day to buy it. Deep Discount, things can be pre-ordered, but you won't get them early.

I apologize if this has already been established, but do we have any information on whether or not the US release is region locked?

Thanks for the reply (and answer!).

I will pre-order from Deep Discount if the price doesn't rise as that will mean that it will be the same price as in the UK before any customs charges. I was hoping that DD may put the product as available before the 28th so the 25% off could be used earlier.

It is indeed region free. I've also just checked, season 1 does indeed have a different main title music.

Thank you very much for the info! Not the answer I was hoping for, but what can you do? It'll be interesting to see if the UK set is different.
