I would go along with this but it was also camera tricks and to hide the poor sets..

On the dvd he said something about Arnold showing up in his Bmw throwing his terminator coat on and running a scene..lol

Two more days

But damn, I wish it had a few better reviews :P ...Most of the reviews said "poor direction"...I guess that means the movie as a whole doesn't feel right...

I saw it last night like many other people in this thread and I just thought it was alright. We walked out the theatre and someone asked me "Did you like it?" I simply answered "It was alright" lol. I thought the opening with the credits were bad...a bit laughable especially when McG's name just comes out in a huge white glow. The ending was really odd to me. It felt like some practical joke for a second...I'm not bashing it, but it made me go "really?...ok i guess"

It's not bad,but it's not great. Bale's acting felt kinda half-assed. You could tell his heart wasn't in it and definitely a hard shoot for him causing that meltdown.

Also...why did everyone talk in the batman voice??? lol. I expected it from Bale but everyone's voice was raspy and quiet. lol.

So do you think the terminator fans and bale will be done professionally?

lol No I don't think so. I mean even half-assed Bale can be a decent actor. That's what it felt like to me though.

One more thing that bugged me. I haven't seen the first two in a while, but from what I remember don't the machines use lasers as their weapons? I remember the ships firing lasers and the terminators on the ground with laser guns as well. In this future all the machines use regular old bullets and turret guns?

I think they explained that the technology hadn't progressed that far yet (laser rifles, etc.). Remember, this takes place very soon after the world got obliterated.

In Terminator 1, Reese said the Terminator's were something new. Living flesh over the metal skeloton. Things progressed to that - it didn't start there.

I think you are right. I faintly remember some conversation like that in the movie...well that's a bad sign. I just saw this yesterday and already I'm forgetting about it lol. Or maybe the huge explosions and action scenes drowned out the scenes with dialogue lol.

Yeah I do not think the robots have advanced that far yet? It's actually called a mini gun. Usually mini guns in movies = bad ass. Think about it.. True Lies, Predator, Matrix. Nothing makes me happier to see a mini gun unleashed on someone/something in a movie.

It seems like all the negative reviews point to Bale's performance. I actually didn't think Nick Stahl did a bad job in 3, even though the movie wasn't that great.

I think he would have done a fine job, and it would have been better for continuity. But Edward Furlong...

[Show spoiler]While it is in the middle of a desert, they had called for an emergency medical team to set up a camp halfway to base. They are under cover with the proper surgeons and tools.

Yes, Marcus sacrifices himself to save Connor. It has more to do with Connor being stabbed through the chest than not being strong enough, but that is the way Kate chooses to break the news.

I liked the original idea more now. It would have been a cool twist instead of this.
