The most frustrating thing about shoes is feeling like you’re stuck between sizes.

My J1 White Shadows arrived today and trying them on for the first time, they definitely feel a little too big. Too much room at the end of the toe. They even look a little too long. But 11.5s in J1s always feels much too narrow in the toe. If I wear them around for an extended period, they start to feel uncomfortable.

So I’m stuck.

Probably exacerbated by the fact that I’m not in love with the color way in person. If I could do it all over again, I’d ditch the White Shadows and pay the extra cheddar for the Chicago White Heels.

At least I have a pair of Jordans that I can beat up and not give a funk.

...gotta think positive.

Nike.com put up the J1 low Smoke Greys out of nowhere today and to my complete surprise, they still had 11.5s and 12s available when I checked.

Unfortunately when I went to checkout and tried to complete the order I got a pop up message saying they were out of inventory. When I called customer service, they told me that it was probably sold out and the computer just hadn’t caught up to the orders. Or some deep fried, corporate horses#$t like that.

That was at 1 pm today.

It’s now 11:15 and the website still says they 11.5s and 12s.

Found a pair of the Carmines at Champs today...last pair of size 12s.

Unfortunately J6s seem to run significantly bigger than J1s. There was a full two inches between my toes and the end of the shoe. So I couldn’t justify dropping 200 bones on kicks I would probably never wear.

And while they do look cool, they’re a little too loud for my taste.

My Dunk High Dark Curries arrived today and they are a truly beautiful pair of sneakers.

Unfortunately the size 12 is a bit bigger than I anticipated. Definitely would’ve gone with the 11.5s if I had it to do over again. But with no returns on eBay, I couldn’t take the chance that they would feel too small.
