i agree you can't put a +2 hour documentary in HD on a disc where the movie is 165 min also the IMAX scenes is gonna take up alot of space.

I can't see how jumpman can't see it

trailers and tvspots (if there are any) only ad up to likely 10 min total how you can think up 30 min for trailers and tvspots is ridiculous
you are beyond hopeless

You have no idea how long Ending the Knight is. For all we know, it's only an hour.

So, what I said doesn't make sense? And I'm hopeless? I know everyone wants Nolan to do a long form documentary on the making of this final film, but that's not his MO. Just look at his last three BD's released by WB. He doesn't do them.

Dude, Inception had almost 30 minutes of trailers and tv spots on the second disc. WB released 17 tv spots for Rises and four trailers. You're telling me it's not possible to have 30 minutes of trailers and tv spots?

Again, the Batmobile documentary is probably and hour long. That leaves two hours left of bonus materials. Trailers and tv spots count towards the bonus material. That'll leave an hour and 30 to 40 minutes left of bonus material.

Are you really sure Ending the Knight will be a sole two hour documentary? Completely sure?

I'm just going by WB's record. For their big films, they always, always have some type of Maximum Movie Mode with focus points. Always.

This. Will. Be. No. Different.

it says OVER 3 hours NOT 3 hours. like you keep pointing out there is.

Trailer and tv spots on Inception was only 16 min. this does not even list that there is tvspots on so how do you know it has tvspots even if it does it will likely only take up 20 min. Then the Batmobile documentary 60-70 min (even if it is that long) that is give or take 90 min. That leaves about 90-100 min. You really think 90-100 min worth of behind the scenes stuff will be on a disc where the movie is almost 3 hours and have IMAX scenes in them like about 60-70 min worth of IMAX. Noway that Ending the Knight is on the disc with the movie.

In the press release for Inception it says tvspots here it does not it also says "in movie experience" for the features here it also does not say that on Dark Knight Rises press release

You need to face it that you are wrong noway they can fit that on 1 disc and they do not mention in movie experience like they always do in their press releases if they feature that.

Having just read the full press release, they have two sections called CHARACTERS and REFLECTIONS. Willing to bet that those two sections are on disc two with the Batmobile documentary, trailers, and art galleries.

That would leave Ending the Knight as the focus points documentary...on the first disc.

And by the way, when they say OVER 3 HOURS OF BONUS MATERIAL, it never is. It's usually 3 hours.

mredman,

You win. All of the bonus material will be on disc two...even though WB has never done that on three disc sets.

But, whatever floats your boat. All three hours or over will be on disc two.

Since I just pre-ordered the trilogy from Amazon, are some of you thinking that there will be a steelbook version of it? If so, why? This might be the one time I'd actually wait for that version...

Because it's already available.

Now if you're talking about a US steelbook, odds are there will be one since WB issued SB's for the first two films. Most likely a BB exclusive.

Edit: Hey post #1000...I knew it would happen!

No, it's going to have the original theatrical 5.1 l soundtrack. A 7.1 soundtrack, would have been an alteration.

Trilogy set up for pre order. Not sure if like this more or the UK one. I want to wait for the Limited set next year but that's too hard.

Actually it runs at ~18 Mbps but it's still very low.

Price of that box set is surprisingly low. I'm assuming that there are 6 discs in there (2 for each film).

3x50GB disc - BB, TDK, TDKR
3x50GB disc - BB, TDK, TDKR (extras)
