Thanks Kevin! This looks like great news for me, because GROOT is one of my favorite things about this movie. Perfect artwork choice!

And perhaps I'm not sure what the differences are between the lenticular slipcover and a full slip? Can someone give me an example of a blufans full slip versus the lenticular slip? Is it that the Lenti slip has one side open so you can see the steelbook spine, and the full slip slides over the top?

The old way Blufans used to do it was full slip box (Jack Reacher, Star Trek) and Lenti slip cover (UP, Monsters Uni, Wreck it Ralph). How they just do Lenti full slip boxes (IM, Cap, Thor). So either the Full slip with 2D image or Full slip with 3D lenti image open the same, so the spine of the steelbook is visible.

I know the GB date is set for the 19th, but is there a time? Some guidance would be much appreciated.

The few that I've been a part of have always started at 12:00 PM central standard time/10:00 AM Pacific standard time. But don't worry, Kevin Will let us know beforehand.

To each their own, but I think this will be the best Guardians of the Galaxy steelbook. Ever.

I would be gutted not to have this in my Marvel collection. It could come wrapped with a lenti loo roll at this point and still be the winner for me.

Agreed, but I am disappointed that the full slip has been cancelled.

I really hope the Star Lord image is just for the back of the UE and the front will be some epic group shot, and not just Gamora solo on the other side
(and the group shot isnt anything like the standard US 3D BD release image
[Show spoiler]
)

Eh.... but if the rest of the Marvel slips are going to be lentis, it would be the only one that wouldn't match. I'm 5 lentis into this now.

True, but I've always been more of a full slip guy. I can deal with lents for Disney flicks and Marvel movies, but I would prefer a quality full slip.
