That's why we have first time ever 3D releases in The Hunger Games and Star Wars series scheduled?

What is the most releases? You're trying to paint some dramatic decline but studio releases theatrically have been roughly the same number for years now.

The "vault" as much of a gimmick as it is, actually helps sales of their titles right before (if they advertise it as going away). They won't be abandoning that
What proof do you have that there is a new line-up?

Since we are talking about home 3D being dead i could care less about what studios do theatrically.

nice try though

You are a joke and I'm done responding to unless you can name releases that have actually have something superior like PQ, AQ, or extras (y'know shit that actually matter). [emoji6]

[Show spoiler]I bet they'll put in Frozen and Tangled and took out something like The Jungle Book or Peter Pan, I always imagined, compared to the rest of the vault movies (including the one's that are kinda-sorta in there, like Fantasia) those two BARLEY edged in there. I know it doesn't matter, but I would love to see some movies get the "Diamond" treatment with a gorgeous cover and all, and subsequently have some movies taken out.....hehehe

With 4K coming, they're going to extract another round out of us for sure. It'll be the last round but they will. I'm in! But if it wasn't made before Walt died, I ain't buyin!

They'll call it the ultimate collection and try and suck us dry with everything from Snow White to Finding Dory. We are all so hosed! Four movies a year for eternity.

I don't know, Alice, Fantasia, Pinocchio and Sleeping Beauty look kick ass on blu, I personally am looking forward to the releases in 4k. (but I can see where you're coming from, Cinderella looks atrocious, 3 years later I'm still not over the ultra thick marker look XP)

Aren't they already doing that? I know Inside Out and Wreck-it are on Ultimate collectors edition, as well as a few others, or is this something else.

I mean I'm not being unrealistic I'm not expecting to see Robin Hood in 3D or anything, and I (almost) give up on the idea that Disney releases Alice and Dumbo on Diamond, but other than 4k and the Vault system being thrown out the window, what CAN one really expect.

I'd like to know too since a USA title like Tarzan is much better.

If i "couldn’t care less", then i would care so little about something that it would be impossible for me to care any less than you do. If "I could care less", however, I am saying, literally, that it is possible for me to care less than I care now. If you take issue with this believe the variant says very little about my level of caring, maybe i will eschew it.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part II in 3D has been scrapped domestically for production continuity. Still not 100% certain it will be in 3D internationally. Might be a China only release.

Getting this thread back on topic... when is Disney going to issue a press release for this? They've already detailed Avengers: Age of Ultron, Tomorrowland, and Inside Out, so hopefully this isn't foo far behind.

And for what it's worth, Amazon's product page lists the aspect ratio as 1.66:1 like the Platinum Edition DVD, instead of 1.85:1 like the European Blu-ray releases.

Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, they are not entitled to their own facts, in which case, it's much easier to just ignore the facts and continue on with their opinion. Horray for the internet!
