The episode was kind of short so I think they could have added a couple minutes where Doc Brown showed up with a chalkboard and kind of like explained it real quick.

Well, I'm not angry. I'm just jumping into an alternate universe.

But I believe it's time travel.

In an Alligator Universe. LMAO.

We don't need DOC.
It's clear.
They jump into alternate universes and the entire premise of the show, as well as the plot, is super-badly written.

That said, it's enjoyable and fun to watch anyway.

I'm so sorry...I just assumed that watching and loving everything else Marvel has done gave me unofficial permission to watch this also. It's not my fault it was pure garbage...
I only watched it once, mind you....and will never watch it again. But, I will still leave it on my Marvel drive with everything else Marvel has done. Yeah, it's around 40 gigs of wasted space, but i'm OCD enough to leave it there for completion's sake.

Loki has some of the best dialogue in the entire MCU. It makes a much sense as a time traveling alternate reality story can. I love science. I watch PBS Space Time and read about quantum entanglement and black holes for fun. Carl Sagan is my hero.

I think Loki is simply outstanding. I can't wait for season 2. I'm going to have lots of fun with it. I like philosophy too.

2 Your place in the scheme of things: Why is this Marvel company assuming that I'm stupid enough to just accept any drivel they shell out?

Just try to forget this show was made....its Marvel's Terminator 3
Someone got it. Thank God.

P.s: Terminator 3 was 100% coherent with Terminator 2 in terms of "rules" (established by T2) and "premise".

Good storytelling means that you set some rules for your story, and then write it. Each good story has rules.
LOKI has great dialogue, but bad rules and it contradicts itself in millions of ways.

I used Terminator 3 as a reference point since some fans of Terminator like to try and forget about it...never understood that...it was a logical extension of the first two even if the fans thought otherwise. (I was fine with it)
Loki on the other hand took everything we loved about Marvel and chucked it..just so we could have some product.

Nope. That's you adding things that don't work. Might as well question the credibility of Spider-Man's web fluid and Deadpool's healing.

No way. I'm not questioning the sci-fi behind time travel at all. Time travel cannot be explained, as well as you can't explain UFOs or other sci-fi plot elements of sci-fi movies.

I'm questioning the continuity inside the series, the storytelling and the massive plotholes. Those go far beyond the scientific explanation of things that don't exist in the real world (not yet).

Remember the good old days when actual sci-i writers were brought in to either write an episode or consult? And let's face it...Loki is a sci-fi story.

The late great Harlan Ellison comes to mind.
"City on the Edge of Forever" Star Trek OTS....even though he hated what they did to it.
Later...he was brought in as a consultant on the incredible Babylon 5.
One of the things that made that series so great was his input....continuity, believability, common sense, respect for science....he looked at the scripts and would tell them "yeah, this works, no...this doesn't" Just try to find a big plot hole in that entire series.

Whoever wrote Loki, or gave the go ahead to its main premise thought they had the intelligence and creativity to run with an incredibly flawed concept....they thought wrong.

It's so strange to me. Life is short, go do something you enjoy. Although I guess people could enjoy being nitpicky and miserable. For me if I really dislike something I don't feel compelled to talk about it at all, I just move on with my life and do something that makes me happy.

I loved the show. It did take a second viewing on episode 6, but I thought it all made sense. What I’m curious of is when will Silvie show up again? Season 2 or one of the movies?

Just had a thought, it's no coincidence that the next Marvel show coming up is What If...? as that's now poised to be a direct result/continuation of what the ending of Loki has set up.

I don't understand how people aren't getting this.

[Show spoiler]Time starts, instantly infinitely different choices are made, creating infinitely different timelines/universes (same thing).

Eventually on one timeline He Who Remains (HWR) figures this out, invents a way to jump timelines (similar to Pym Particles I guess) and meets infinite different versions of himself that are all figuring this out at the same time.

They start fighting, stealing stuff from each others' universes, cause a multiverse war.

HWR, finds Alioth (big cloud monster) and uses this to start winning the war by eating up other timelines/universes.

He then creates the TVA and using time travel sets them the task of ensuring none of these infinite events that create these infinite branches ever occur. In essence he dictates which events are allowed to occur, thus creating a single prime (or 'sacred') timeline.

He gets bored of this, brings two variant Loki's to the end of time, which he has yet to create as it is a constant work in progress, and asks them to take over OR kill him.

Taking over means keeping the timeline in tact. Killing him means nobody is overseeing the prime timeline. Without anyone overseeing it, travelling through time cutting off branches, it will start branching infinitely again from the beginning, thus creating all of the versions of HWR that started the last multiversal war, one of which is assumedly Kang the Conquerer.

Killing him and opening these infinite branches also opens the door to every past Marvel movie or show now being a possible part of the MCU through alternate timelines, including the Netlix Defender shows, Agents of Shield, Spider-Man (2002), X-Men (2000), Blade (1998) and the Howard the Duck movie from 1986.

One new technical issue with all of this is now when characters change locations in a Marvel movie, the big text that pops up on-screen saying the locations, has had to have the date added to them since time travel became a part of the series. In future movies it will now need the location, date AND description of which timeline/branch we're in

There's so much to process after that finale!

I did lose it when Cap's song started playing. Don't do me like that, Marvel!

As for the ending, it was very much like Fringe when Peter was erased and nobody knew who he was.

Everything that He Who Remains said is nice and dandy, except that they never explained why he specifically plucked the Lokis from their timelines/universes. We see no other versions of any character except for Loki.
And if He Who Remains likes to keep a tidy timeline, how the heck did he allow Cap to create a branch reality? Now I'm 90% sure Steve comes back for Quantumania to explain this.

This show really pulled off the ending! WandaVision and Falcon America and The Winter Soldier should've taken more time to polish their finales.

I can't wait for season 2!
