It was in great shape. 4K80 is coming along nicely too.

Audio is great, choices of different formats,

1.0 DTS-HD-MA (1977 35mm mono mix)
2.0 DTS-HD-MA (1977 35mm stereo mix 2018)
5.1 DTS-HD-MA (1977 70mm six track mix 2018)

Project 4K83 is similair I believe

Agreed! I was astonished by the audio choices. Team Negative One just got it right!

Never watched it with the mono mix but want to. I’m sure when my Dad took me to see it in 1977 it was mono at our local cinema.

It's amazing how many of our favorites are truly classics that premiered with mono. The DD 5.1 surround stuff was really a thing of the DVD era, looking back. Still, when it comes to audio I am less of a purist than with video. I do love me some audio options, but I always prefer it when the OG audio is offered as an option, at least.

I like the mono mix because it includes the line "Close the blast doors!" which wasn't included in the other mixes. Aunt Beru's alternate voice takes a bit of getting used to, though.

It's a gorgeous set, I'm really happy that I got one. I may get the individual packages aswell down the road; love the look of them aswell. You can never have enough Star Wars

I never realized until now it was stripped out of the other mixes. I just assumed I mis-recalled hearing it.

I read about D+77 and D+80 on originaltrilogy.com. They’re recreations like the Despecialized Editions but they’re sourced from the 4K discs and other 4K-based sources to restore original shots. Anyone here seen them?

I seen D+80 and did not like it at all, its basically the fugly 4K UHD transfer without the SE scenes added. If your a fan of the recent 4K transfers than they may be worth checking out.

Pirates of the Caribbean had a giant Rules book and a Heart Chest set.

Is there no way to re-insert the "Close the Blast Doors" line into the other mixes?

I have seen both, yes. If you just want to see the films in as close to original form as possible at the highest current commercial quality...they are good looking.

If you prefer the grain, color timing, look/feel, etc., of an old school release print...it's just not there. They are scrubbed clean.
