has anyone tried the glitch on Crota at all?? just curious if it works and how long it takes.

my little brother may not be able to make our run tomorrow night.....so may need an alt.

so far we've got:

blu-benny
blu-kyle
kenkeith
sdg
thestuck

probably looking to start sometime between 8-9pm cst.

I honestly think it is easier to defeat him legit. The team I was working with today knew what they were doing and if you do it is faster and more efficient than the cheese.

It is well worth the time learning all the aspects of it and doing it legit IMO.

I'm willing to learn the finer aspects after the reset on Tuesday......the checkpoint we have right now I just want to finish off so I can work on my other characters until then.

I hear ya. You will see what I mean about the glitch though. Perhaps you guys will have more luck than we did last night.

Even though the glitch keeps Crota down (it doesn't always work), you still need to be aware of the raid intricacies for it to work well. Stock up on heavy for sure.

we were able to handle the thralls and swordbearer right off the bat......even took down the knights up on the ledge.

we had a nasty habit of forgetting about those knights though. the whole staying alive and then taking down Crota's eye thing when someone died always snuck up on us too.

Yup and then the ogres. I think the Knights (boomers) are the single biggest danger.

Yea if you get to the part where you knee him down thats pretty much it. Today we were just messing up.

Might give it a go again in a bit.

Hopefully I can join you guys again? I may use the VoC for the Knights though. The ice breaker at 317 is just not hitting hard enough.

We had him down to a sliver of health but getting back from mid was the issue.

my random legendary arc sniper rifle.....I'm not even sure it's important enough to have a memorable name

.......was taking those knights down w/2 head shots.

Yeah you need to get headshots. Takes 2 for me as well but being the guy on knight duty I had to land 4 shots exact to take down both Knights. At 331 or whatever I think it will be a lot better.

One knight that gets a few shots off can change the complexion of the whole session.

where were you guys standing when taking down Crota?? on the left when you're facing him??

we had him run down the catwalk towards us once and he damn near came into the actual door after us!!

Well that's just going to be the nature of the beast. Come time when the second expansion drops our 331 weapons will be inferior in the hard mode raid. Although, I wouldn't call my 300 weapons inferior. I'm still doing just fine with them.

As long as you have the timing down and someone watching the Knights up top at all time, there is no way you will fail, especially if you have a 31 using the sword.
