David and Justin, sorry it has taken so long to reply

I had a great time on Saturday and was really impressed by the service we actually got at Alamo given the fact that you flat out told the guy that you weren't buying anything that day, lol. Lunch was great and David's reaction was priceless to the amount of meat they put on that sandwich.

As far as everything we listened to I was impressed with the KEF 900's but of course I am sure the treated room played a nice roll in how they sounded, I also like the look of that 1.5 gain screen I can only imagine what the big Paradigms would have sounded like in there even with that "sub"

On my front I have decided to skip the Omnimic for now (Justin knows this already) I went out yesterday and picked up 3 cases (18 panels total) of rigid fiberglass panels to build two floor to ceiling super chunk bass traps in the back corners of the room (thanks for mentioning boomy bass Justin :shakesfist I will also be doing a 4' x 4' cloud in between my primary seating position and the center channel. I haven't decided 100% how to approach the front corners yet since the screen isn't that far from the wall....although I have some ideas.

Thanks again guys, it was a great way to spend an otherwise rainy Saturday afternoon

Bill

So you're opting for more acoustic treatments in your space . Have you taken any before readings ? So we can see what you accomplish .

I will be borrowing Justin's Omnimic to get before and after readings, although I am 100% positive I will be able to hear the difference since I have spent the last 8 months with with the Legends and no corner traps.

Are you seriously thinking about going Al's route

I have a pair of PB-10's in a 1825 cu/ft open area and I'm fine with them

And that sounds like a whole lot of panels you just picked up. What do they look like ?
