Australian Blu-ray Release Schedule

I rang up Roadshow's customer service today to ask them if they could confirm the extra features on the "Mirror Mirror" Blu-ray and the attendant's response was weird:

"What do you mean by extra features?"

Just looked up the AUS Hitchcock collection that's mentioned on the JB website and it seems to be different to the others coming out - no North By Northwest???

Yeah, it's come up but NBNW is released by Warner Bros here and in the UK and it's a Universal set so no go I'm afraid.

The rights to NBNW are owned by someone else (don't know specifics) in other parts of the world. It is also missing from the UK boxset.

It's ok, as i've got it on order from the US (pricey i know but i LOVE the packaging!) but maybe i could just get the local one and hunt down NBNW separately...

Good price on the 6 film set and it kinda looks like a jumbo steelbook (though i highly doubt it).
And $50!! for the Avengers steelbook is a joke, ill wait for it to go down to $20ish, what a joke.

Wow, bad timing, T ... it was available on Amazon for only $14 or so around a week ago. Worth grabbing if you can, the digibook is really nice, and the disc is region free.

But the US set is so expensive, even at full price for the NbNW I'm thinking the UK/OZ option might still be a better bet.

Are we likely to see another set, I'm wondering, with all the other titles from the other distributor? (Is it Paramount or Fox?)

The classy, won't take up too much space on my already rammed-to-the-hilt shelf look to the US set is what did it for me - just a great looking blu, and i'm hoping for a price drop . The UK one looks great, but it's HUUUUGE. The AUS one is tempting me though...

Could be one of those plastic jumbo 'steelbooks' like the original LOTR set was released in. Plastic somehow is also a steelbook lol

It looks the same as the German release, which is reportedly a steelbook. But it doesn't actually use the "s" word in the description, and — maybe I'm overcautious here — I'm always wary in case images like these turn out merely to have been a placeholder.

Speaking of placeholders, I've still got my pre-order in for the UK "special" version, but they haven't confirmed what that one is going to be like yet either.

I think I wish they'd released just the original three adventures.

Yes it's steep for 4 catologue films, even the 'non-collectors exclusive' is still $95 here. I've got the UK collectors edetion on pre-order and it's about $86 shipped, but I'm waiting to see what is in it before I cancel or not.
