In the second game you shouldn't have to be near the shard if you have the shard sense power for it to direct you where to go.

I uploaded my second mission :( . Titled 'the sucker punch'. It's across from the clock tower.

Anyone else working with the mission editor yet? I stopped playing the game and have just been tooling around in it.

WOW this is an absolutely pathetic review of Infamous 2 demo from some site called diehardgamefan.com

http://diehardgamefan.com/2011/06/02...demo-sony-ps3/

I think there's MAYBE onre or two little points I agree with the reviewer on. Everything else makes me wonder how much he truly played the demo (which he's reviewing), or if he's just someone shitting on a PS3 Exclusive.

I don't know anything about the reviewer or site, so I can't make that allegation, but it's bizarre.

Says it's a review of the demo. Not the retail game. Unless you linked to the wrong article.

For what it's worth, I think the game is a pretty forgettable third person shooter. Combat never feels particularly satisfying to me. The default camera view is a little too low. The character movement is a mess. The mission editor, while amusing, leaves a lot to be desired. The controls still feel too loose and the camera is constantly fighting against you attempting to reset itself.

I also find the removal of anti aliasing in lighting effects particularly jarring. While it does help to keep a steady frame rate, so does properly setting up a scenario to avoid too many assets and lighting effects on the screen at once. Easiest to spot in the opening while the tanker is exploding and during the Sucker Punch UGC mission with the floating disco ball.

So am I missing something or is platting this going to be easier than the first?

I don't see anything like the 21 stunts in the first one, just complete on hard, all the shards, and all the dead drops. Last time I think the stunts and buying every power were the ones that seemed the most challenging.

Sony releasing inFamous as a free game was probably the smartest thing they could have done for the sales of the second one...

I'm about 80% through the first one and I'm so excited that I have another game to play after I finish it!!!

woohoo!! first game is waaay better than I thought it would be!!

This does seem like an easier platinum than inFamous 1.

The only trophy on the list that I'm sweating a bit is the 3-headshots-in-a-row with Precision (and I'm not sweating it THAT much).

Everything else seems fairly tame, though, a Hard playthrough could be quite challenging on some of those defend-the-transformer missions.

It's really not that hard to get 3 in a row, You'll get it no problem.

The hard play through is going to be much tougher I believe.

I'm about 3/4 of the way done with my Hard playthrough. It's a little rough in the beginning but it's not too bad. I just hate getting bombarded with RPG's and Grenades.

I haven't done the hard playthrough yet, and a little hesitant to do so. I usually didn't have much trouble with RPGs, where I had a lot of frustration was during the missions repowering the city with the tesla missiles. For me, those were a genuine PITA, even on medium. They're most of the reason I'm hesitant to try the hard run, for my own sake.

+1... I disliked the tesla missiles missions. Frustrating and definitely not as cool as in the first infamous where you went underground.

I actually died less on Hard doing the Powering up missions. You pretty much have unlimited energy so I throw everything I got. Plus, if you play Good you get the Blaster bolt which helps out a ton.

RPGs and grenades don't seem to be an issue for me. Careful use of (insert preferred Blast ability) keeps most of them at bay.

Not looking forward to fighting some of the larger enemies on Hard, however, especially the Hive Lords that make those annoying little ticks that spit green shrapnel at you.

I had played the demo a long time ago, had some fun but not enough to warrant a purchase. Then I downloaded the first one as one of my free games. Maybe it picks up but it hasn't hooked me yet.. Went as far played after crossing back over the bridge, then knocking off some food package from a sign then maybe 1 or 2 more missions. I know you get a lot more powers from the demo but playing against the reapers is so boring and the other teleporting reaper, samething.. Just not much variety. Went back to other games like Demons Souls, Mass Effect 2 and Uncharted.

It's not too much of an issue but it's really annoying when you have limited cover, your screens black and white and there is just nonstop grenades being thrown at you. There are just certain places it's more troublesome than some.

The Hive Lord took forever to kill in the beginning on Hard. Same goes for the Destroyer (I think it's called).

Here's my status and situation with Infamous2.

Beat it on Evil Karma.

88% done.
Blast Shards: all found
Side Missions: All done
Dead Drops: 26 out of 29 found.
52 Powers/Upgrades.

I can not for the LIFE of me find those other three dead drops. Been all over the map multiple times. Too bad there's no "Dead Drop Sense" power. lol Doesn't help that the blue cross thing on there looks nearly identical to the bird symbol thing at times.

I'm also playing on hard and the "boss battles" go quite fast with grenade. I don't even bother with normal shooting. For the nonstop grenade at me, I just use a lot of evade.

I really love that game, but I missed the underground level from the first one. I liked the look of them.

My plan is to play as good on medium difficulty and then play as evil on hard. I did that on the first game.

There's a dead drop at the swamp in the beggining of the game when you arrive to new marais. That's one many have missed.
