Not loving ICS so far on my Razr. First off there's a ton of new apps that I can't delete. I know this isn't the fault of ICS or Google but rather Verizon or Motorola but I don't like having unwanted apps that I can't delete.
Second off all of a sudden my phone isn't my phone isn't automatically notifying me when I get an email. Before the upgrade when I got an email on Outlook my phone would almost instantaneously vibrate but now all of a sudden it's not updating at all unless I manually go into my phone's email and refresh it. I'll have to play around with my settings because it seems like something must have changed automatically when I updated the phone. Edit: Fixed the push email problem. Apparently when I updated the phone it changed my settings. Last edited by fatediesel; 06-29-2012 at 04:12 PM. |

That's why people are so fond of the Nexus line. All phones are unlocked and carriers can't put their crapware on them.

Switched providers today to save about $25/month. I'm now with Sprint and picked up an EVO 4G LTE. It's a bad ass phone, especially since I love Sense. Don't hate. But I think I got a malfunctioning device. It has to load Sense every time I leave an app. It takes about 10 seconds to catch up but you can understand how that can be annoying. I'll give it the night but if it isn't working by tomorrow, I'll swap it out.

Maybe if some of these providers put money into 4G Satelites, instead of the pockets of overpaid CEO's, they would win some customers back. There, I said it. ![]() |

Sprint's LTE doesn't launch here in SA until the 15th. So I'm stuck with painfully slow 3G until then.
Concerning the faulty phone from my previous post...the thing starting acting up even more at about 10:30 last night. It basically just froze. So I was stuck with that until the Sprint store opened at 10 today. Took it in, dude did a soft reset, and quite politely sent me on my way with an apparently correctly functioning phone. I get home about 10 minutes later, I'm back where I began the day. Completely malfunctioning phone. I wasn't upset with the guy or my phone. Sometimes lemons get out into the real world. I took it back about an hour later and they swapped it out. No problem. I should have played around with it while I was in the store. Now it's doing what my first device was initially doing which was needing to load the home screen every time I left an app. It can't be that I got two defective units in a row. Or can it? |

I tried that but this isn't a "sometimes" thing. It happens whenever I leave an app. And now it's to the point that I can't even pull up my app drawer most of the time. I'll wait another day or two for something magical because I'm starting to wonder if it's not the phone but my situation, whatever that is. I mean, it couldn't be two faulty phones in a row, right?
