I am sure your boy is dying for this game. I hope you get it soon.

Thanks! I really hope this isn't how all the Nintendo releases are going to go. First Fire Emblem and now this one.

need for speed wii U reviews are comming in http://www.officialnintendomagazine....review/?page=3

Nice to see some devs are making use of the wiiU more advanced hardware rather than just porting the 360 version as it is,

march is good month with 3 good games being released.

I grabbed this yesterday directly from EA's website. Item was onsale for $25.00 bucks as part of some customer appreciation sale that was going on.

In fact... All of the Wii U games by EA were $25.00-$29.00.

The sale is still going too for those who are interested.

Both local Targets were sold out at 5pm today likely because of the B2G1 promo.

The release of Lego City Undercover, the latest title in the Lego game series, was allegedly affected this week by shipping error delays, according to numerous reports from users attempting to find the title.

While the game was initially slated to hit on March 18 for Wii U systems across North America, users who pre-ordered the title have heard from GameStop that this game will not be in stock until March 20, while some GameStop retailers have stated they won't have the title on shelves until March 22.

We have contacted Nintendo about this apparent delay and whether it will affect users outside of North America. The game is scheduled to hit Europe on March 28.

Just to chime in from the UK side of things, this thing is doing really poor at retail here.

£50 has already been taken off the price and it still isn't shifting. MVC has also ran an artcle about it.

Nintendo to meet UK retailers after unofficial Wii U price cuts fail

Quote:
Nintendo UK has pledged to meet with retailers worried about the performance of its Wii U games console.

Growing dissatisfaction towards the new hardware has seen retailers Amazon, Asda, ShopTo and GameStop slash £50 off its price. But even that has failed to stimulate sales.

“We have taken the decision to reduce the price of the Basic Wii U to test the market and assess the impact of a price change for a short period of time,” ShopTo purchasing director James Rowson told MCV. “This has resulted in a smaller than desired increase in sales at this stage.”

Meanwhile, some chains have told MCV that it will be ‘looking at’ the amount of shelf space it gives to Nintendo platforms.

“Currently Nintendo has not lost space, but their mix of sales is down,” says a top buyer at one of the UK’s biggest games retailers. “We are looking to reduce slightly but must admit their silence on strategy is deafening at the moment. They’ve got to do something otherwise it is GameCube all over again.”

Nintendo has told MCV that it has a plan to stimulate Wii U’s performance in the UK. And that it will meet all its retail partners in the coming weeks to reveal its strategy.

“We’ll be speaking to our retailers directly over the next few weeks to take them through our plans for building Wii U momentum over the course of 2013,” said a Nintendo spokesperson. “We have a strong and broad line-up of software launching this year and we look forward to updating – and exciting – our partners over the coming weeks.”

Wii U has suffered from a poor release schedule since debut. This week marks the first new software from Nintendo for the platform since January. Releases include LEGO City and Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate.

There haven't been many game releases since launch, so not sure why that's surprising. I would expect steady decline from the launch sales until there's a big high profile title release, probably Zelda or Metroid.

Or Mario Galaxy U.

The "New Super Mario Bros" series don't seem to have the same impact on consumers as the 3D Marios do.

Picked up Lego City and played the first level. If you like Lego games, this is a good/great one. And Gamestop gives you a code for a Werewolf mask. (I'll post it later in case others want it.) I know about the disguises but not sure how this one plays into it. The scanning feature is pretty cool. And throughout the game you get these 'phone calls' and that is neat too.

There is loading throughout the game. Its about a minute long. Maybe they can fix this later on?

So if you like the Lego games pick this up or rent it.

If you can post the code later that would be great. I've been playing it with my kids and they love the game too. It cracks me up a lot. I actually enjoy playing too.

Oh I will. Its not a one time code or anything. My son used it and then I used it as well.

Same excluding the NFS game I picked up as part of the EA sale. And I only got NFS because I am fan of the series and the Wii U is the best version of that game.

I am still interested in picking up Lego and Monster Hunter... but I am already back logged enough with games. Those will need to wait till I have more time since both of those games are 40+ hours.

Nintendo really needs a true blockbuster with appeal to an older audience if they want their sales to pick up soon. Monster Hunter/Lego are nice... but one is just a HD remake and both do not have a broad appeal to them.

Bright side to all of this is that the rumors are that Nintendo has a few big games up their selves that will be shown off at TGS and E3, and I hope to those are true.

I think nostalgia is a big factor with the NSMBU series
