The thing is that with the coffin set now available for preorder at amazon uk, how big it actually is ? If its not bigger and bulkier than lets say the wizard of oz ultimate edition, id be willing to get it. Anyway to know ?

If it includes 8 individual Amaray cases, then it'll be pretty bulky for sure. Although looking at 8 of my UK Amarays next to each other, I think it could be quite discreet if done right.

Actually, I'm sure the "It'll take up too much space" comments are sure to follow.
I preordered the regular box set from amazon UK and seeing this coffin-shaped box set has me confused and re-thinking my purchase. The casket box is lovely, but it truly might be a challenge to store this item in my BD library because if its unique shape.

Pricewise, it is not a lot more than the standard box set. If only there were promo pics of the inside of the coffin.

Do we know if the booklet that is inside the USA box set is also included in the UK box set?

Pretty sure you will have your promo pics if you go for either of the UK releases.

This is what it says on Play.com:

44 page booklet
8 exclusive art cards with original theatrical posters

Sweet! I'm assuming this set will be region free, I might have to cancel my US order for this one!

Sounds like its a bit different.

UK
Contain hours of bonus features, a 44 page booklet and 8 exclusive art cards with original theatrical posters.

US
In addition, the collection comes with a forty-eight-page book featuring behind-the-scenes photographs, original posters, and rare correspondences.

The difference may be the 8 art cards are on the 4 extra pages in US Booklet.

Based on the price, I bet it's just the box set inside the coffin.

A clip was posted on YouTube about restoring Dracula for the BD release.

You guys are Region A, but I would take it with a pinch of salt. Amazon UK defaults most stuff to B. If I was betting, I'd put 80% on it being Region FREE.

Is Dracula the ONLY movie in this set to receive extensive restoration or are the other films in the collection also restored above and beyond what we've seen on the oldray DVDs (which look pretty good, by the way).

Well $800 = (at least)$560 on Amazon, then as you said I would hope for a sweet BF sale. Anyways, great post.

I'm happy with this UK coffin set. Heck I'll proudly display that during Halloween as a decroative piece!

Invisible Man is sourced from an entirely new source. Creature is a widescreen transfer for the first time. I believe Frankenstein and Wolf Man are also new transfers.

And that's not a valid comment why, exactly?
