It's a 5 disc set, BB only comes with 1 disc.

Now if you're talking about a US steelbook, odds are there will be one since WB issued SB's for the first two films. Most likely a BB exclusive.

Edit: Hey post #1000...I knew it would happen!
Fantastic! I bought the SBs for the others despite already owning them on BD (the SB Batman Begins was my fourth copy of the film). So getting a matching SB for the final film on release day would be perfect. Still, that trilogy release is somewhat enticing.

5 discs only for $36 -- pretty good price.

That's probably the scale that version will be, which I don't mind! Keeps cost down, and still delivers a stunning point!

Please note, Amazon just pulled the pre-order for The Dark Knight Rises. If you have it on email alert you will receive a new notification.
And I just went to Amazon.com where I just pre-ordered earlier this evening...

The Batmobile doc is only 30 mins. They showed it on TV before TDKR was out.

I reported that earlier today. Not a big deal. Amazon constantly adds/removes newer listings. Those that placed orders(like me) will still get them, and those that did not will have ample opportunity when the listing goes active again.

Your wrong.

Actually following up your wrongness with another wrong statement is extremely wrong in how wrong it is.

Will be buying the regular Dark Knight Rises Release(well unless Best Buy has a Bonus Disc Package, with their already announced Exclusive Trilogy Documentary-The Dark Knight Reborn, and its not just sold separately) No need for cool packaging,or a Trilogy Set for now. Now next year with the planned Ultimate Collector's Edition Trilogy Set,that will probably be another story.

I pre ordered my copy at amazon.com looking forward to The Dark Knight Rises on December 4th. However the pre order was up at amazon.com and then it was taken down. What's up with that?

I MAY have to break the one bluray rule I have; never double dip.

I will only double dip if that ultimate edition out in 2013 has extensive new disc content and not just filler and fluff...

and by the looks of it, the trilogy set out this year will just be the same versions we already have just in a comprehensive set, nothing new.

It isn't a dealbreaker, but really...no 7.1 for TDKR?
I guess I was just feeling overly optimistic with the new blockbusters packing it, TDKR is like we'll give you IMAX but you can shove that 7.1 up your a**, that's just too much trouble.

someone said the 5.1 is what this was made with for the theater, so thats what ill take. studios: dont upmix to 7.1 just because you can.

I'm assuming its way too early to think there won't be any steelbook available for this? I like to think they were will be seeing that both BB and TDK was re-released on steelbook earlier this year. One man can dream.
