Could care less about Netflix, Twitter, Facebook, Shareplay, etc. in general, much less having it on my PS4. And what is “Masamune?” Is that yet another social media software?

I do enjoy gaining trophies, but not to ‘show off’ to others.

This new update I really have no interest in. The new organizational method of the horizontal bar is nice, but otherwise, really no interest.

I can see myself using Shareplay with a friend or brother at some point as I suck at video games and tend to ask friends for help in tough places anyway, so that and the better organizing will be useful.

Sharing stuff I have ZERO need or interest in. I too, do not care what my friends are up to on their Playstations. Does anybody?

I think saves work, what's supposed to be implemented (not in this update but probably next?) is the full backup of your hard drive, with all previously downloaded content.
Obviously Sony would rather not frack that up and allow a loophole that could let users access content on the drive outside the PS4, as the owners of said content would probably not be happy with a possible Digital Distribution leak

No clue man. Just going off of what I'm reading. People are saying you cant do that. I have never tried and was surprised when I heard people saying it..

Yes you can back-up your save data. (Or trust the Cloud

) You just can't back up everything from the PS4 like game files.

With a lot of the save files these days being HUGE they need to increase the amount of storage we get in the cloud. I recently had to delete a bunch of saves in the cloud just so more recent games could be uploaded. Edit: ...and oh, I always copy the most important ones to a USB drive just in case.

Considering PS+ is required for online play, it's not really surprising.

Seems like a cool feature. Could be good for trophies so a friend could take over the controller and help you get a difficult trophy.

I can't backup any new game saves to the cloud. I can only do my current saves that are there. Now I gotta back them up to a usb thumb drive.

Same thing happened to me the other day (game saves in the cloud).

Is there a way to go in via the PC and delete any PS3 related game saves? That's just taking up space I'll never need again.

You can just go to saved cloud data under settings and delete what you want to clear up space.
