Looks like UK pre-orders still aren't allowed for the US. This is what I got when I tried to pre-order Time Lord Victorious.

It's the same with Amazon USA to International

Just keep checking amazon UK website closer to release date or after release date you will then be able to order

It varies with pre order items some items are available to pre order after a few weeks a listing went live and some not until after release date

I’ve noticed that. I want to preorder Road Games and a few arrow sets. But then I was able to order the Dawn of the Dead BD set so who knows... I also noticed that the VAT has changed and is not removing the same percentage as normal.

Not happy, I received Circus of Horrors with the slipcover literally torn. I'd been looking forward to it and planned to watch it tonight. It had clearly been damaged prior to shipping as the envelope was perfect. They shouldn't have sent it out like that, hell they should have just binned the slipcover and I'd probably be none the wiser it ever had one. At least the replacement should be with me tomorrow, that's one positive for Amazon returns efficiency.

Seems Amazon.co.uk is now charging US customers tax. Not sure when this started, but when I try to place an order now, they are removing VAT, but adding local sales tax. Annoying!

Yeah, gone are the days when it was cheaper for me to import a UK disc to the US than it was for a UK customer to get a UK disc from Amazon. I always thought it was crazy and I'm surprised it took so long to change, but it was fun while it lasted.

That's very annoying.

When I went to place an order it's saying prime delivery for that item is Saturday ..

Most items are saying Saturday delivery for me. I ordered The Amityville Horror this morning and it won’t be turning up until then.

Tax not showing up for me yet. But I'm sure it's just around the corner...

Just a warning for anyone with pre-orders for release day delivery on Amazon. If you amend the payment type (I applied gift card credit) it removes your guaranteed release day delivery and you get put to the back of the queue for stock, as if it were a new order. Lost my Game of Thrones Complete 4K set which I'm pissed about, particularly as I also lost my HMV Steelbooks set yesterday as they are getting it two weeks later for whatever reason. At this point I'm almost hoping it gets put back to after Christmas...

It isn’t just when you apply gift card balance, ALL my preorders have now changed to Saturday after release. If this is true they’re having a laugh if they think I’ll be renewing Prime. We’ll see...

Depends on the distributor as to when you'll actually get the item. In my experience:

- Sony/Warner claim to arrive on release day, sometimes arrive on the Sunday (day before)
- Artificial Eye/Dazzler/Spirit claim to arrive the following Saturday, sometimes arrive on the Sunday (day before) and very occasionally (or if you pre-ordered over the weekend) on the Tuesday (day after)

I've never had a pre-order that stated the following Saturday arrive anywhere near that late, but it is very frustrating they even put that as the date. In fact, it would be nice if Amazon gave a more accurate estimate of dates generally - sometimes it has claimed something is definitely 100% going to arrive on a Friday and then it turns up on the Thursday or Wednesday, which isn't always convenient. Can't see why they don't fix it, as it surely turns lots of people off Prime...

Question, unrelated to blu rays but figured i'd ask anyway.

Are you able to use your Amazon credit (gift cards etc) as a payment option for prime video channels?

Default Amazon UK randomly some in stock titles no shipping to US

Does anyone know what is up with Amazon.co.uk shipping some in stock blu-rays to the US but not others? Not talking third party sellers, talking Amazon themselves.

Like they will ship Magnum PI blu-ray set and Columbo S1 but won't ship Wolf blu-ray or Bill & Ted's UHD even though all of them are in stock (not pre-order) directly from Amazon themselves.

They always do this with low stock on titles, they limit them to only Amazon Prime buyers with UK shipping addresses.

They've been doing this for the last couple of years.

Once they restock each title above a certain threshold, they'll remove that shipping block.

Just bookmark each item and keep checking in, the block will lift eventually, I've encountered this with many items I've wanted to order over the last few years, and I was always able to order them eventually. Just be patient, it may take a month or so, maybe even longer with COVID. The more obscure the item and the older its release date is, the longer it'll probably take, I'm sure they restock big sellers first.

There's always the chance, however, that a certain title may be OOP and they may be burning off remaining stock, and may never restock. Discs are printed in much smaller numbers and go OOP much faster in the UK and Europe than in the US.

Also, since the beginning of the pandemic, all amazons have started to restrict shipping very very randomly (totally randomly, if you ask me), sometimes they lift them once the titles have been released.
