My copy of Titanic arrived today in a cardboard mailer with slip & perfect condition.

So I got a shipping notification a few days ago for INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY 4K and a POINT BREAK 4K. It arrived today and inside was an INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY 4K and... an INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY dvd. No POINT BREAK. That is a very odd and specific error. Not even another 4K. A dvd of a title that was already included in the package.

My copy of Silver Bullet also arrived with a slipcover today, albeit with a loose disc shaking around inside. Fortunately it was the blu-ray and both discs were scratch-free. A lot of my recent Shout 4K purchases with MU have arrived with a loose disc inside, including Point Break just two days ago. I haven't had this problem with any releases from other studios.

I received my order of Titanic, Silver Bullet, and Young Guns.

But instead, I received, Titanic (with slipcover), a copy of Indy DoD Blu-ray (no slipcover), a copy of Indy DoD DVD (no slipcover).

I already contacted them about this mistake but now I feel like I need to scramble to order Silver Bullet from another vendor to try and get a slipcover since they seem to be scarce.

Grindhouse has it with the slip.

Orbit has it too. They say the slips aren’t in the best condition.

Some struggling warehouse employee removing slipcovers from new releases really makes one ask themselves:

"Am I the baddie to complain about this?"

In my situation multiple slips were missing from release week 4Ks delivered from the same order. I'm hardly going to feel as if I'm the "baddie" in the situation for reaching out to MU. It goes beyond coincidence, and when / if slips are removed it's not okay to take what rightfully belongs to someone else, especially when slips are expected in a release week situation. If I tried to walk out of a store with slipcovers in my hand I'd be rightfully charged with theft. The same applies whenever slipcovers are intentionally removed without cause in a warehouse prior to shipment.

Obviously that isn't happening in all situations, as it appears not all recent SF 4K CEs are shipping with slips due to SF themselves not providing them for all copies. Titanic 4K also appears to be having some kind of problem. That said receiving 3 of 4 new release films in an order w/o slips isn't right. A little more consideration should have been taken to not lay it on so thick IF slips weren't appearing on all copies in the warehouse.

You're not alone. I'm a little baffled at what mclellandj is trying to say too. Especially the "struggling warehouse employee" part. I have relatives who've worked in warehouses and fulfillment centers all their life who make a lot of money. They started right out of high school, no college, making more than their parents did, who were self-employed business owners. Mistreatment and being over-worked aside, it's really good money.

Our area has grown rapidly over the past decade from people moving here from out of state, all because of how high the starting salary is. We've had a number erected in recent years, amazon, chewy... I can't begin to think of them all. A new Macy's fulfillment center is going up just 10 miles away. The place is massive. I didn't even know Macy's had that kind of online presence. It's not even open yet and the housing sector has been booming to accommodate all the out of stater's hoping to get hired there or one of the others that seem to constantly be hiring. I still haven't figured out how we don't have enough people locally to fill the openings, when I've met plenty who have quit their previous jobs just to go to work at those type of places or drive an amazon delivery truck, half of which are working for new startups that amazon farms out to, instead of driving for amazon itself. And apparently, despite having a middle-man as an employer, they're still getting paid more than they did in their previous jobs.

I can only assume if any warehouse employee is actually deliberately removing covers, it's because the cover was damaged, and they were told to do so, to avoid returns, under the thinking that a customer is more likely to complain about a damaged piece than a removable part that they may not have even known was supposed to come with it.

I would complain too. I’m just acknowledging that (to me) it is a first world problem.

Ironically that is exactly how I started my conversation with the MU phone rep that I spoke to. I then proceeded to take the conversation in the direction of how not receiving multiple new release slipcovers in one order shattered the norm that they had established every time they sent new releases to me over the entirety of their existence.

Yeah that is very strange, you have every right to ask and should. I did get slips on recent releases like TITANIC I bought from MU. On a side note, sadly my luck getting Sony steels fell by the wayside when the copy of STAND BY ME I was sent ended up smashed/dented completely, so that one has to be returned.

I also just don't understand the point of saying it's a "first world problem". Talking about the format falls under that category if someone wants to "go there". And if someone does feel that way, why even engage on this site to begin with? There are plenty of other places online to talk social/political activism, so why waste your time on this board. Either way, that's a weird take...

Paprika 4k steelbook is up

$39.09 before 25% code. So it'll be a little under $30 with it:

Not sure how "don't be rude to customer service because you didn't get a piece of redundant cardboard" falls under social/political activism. I'd say it's just good old fashioned common courtesy -- something collectors often lack.

Being kind has somehow become political in 2023 for certain people.

Moviesunlimited shipped out my replacement copies of Silver Bullet and Young Guns.

I ordered a copy of each from Amazon in case I did not receive a slipcover for either one and of course my slipcover of Silver Bullet is all beat up and slightly damaged at the bottom.

Hopefully Moviesunlimited comes through.

Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2 4k are back on the site for $46.99 each. Season 2 is backordered and shows an expected shipping date in 14-45 days. With 25% off, they were $35.24 per season.

Anyone know approximately how quick after a returned item is received that MU will process the refund? I returned a couple movies that show on usps as "handed to individual" back on Monday. I used prepaid return labels provided by MU. I wouldn't expect it to be processed in just a couple days but just want to have an idea. The agent on the phone when I got the return approval said "next day" but I never expected that to be correct.
