As I said, it is up to the latest update, I have tried several different Ironman Blu Ray discs to the same result, the screen goes blank, the display on the BD Player shows 00:00 on the counter and shows a disc in but no menu, basically just freezes. Any other thoughts? Is there a way to revert it to the programming it had out of the box since it played Ironman then, it stopped when it updated.
Thanks |

Alright, I did some more digging and found a thread that suggested disconnecting my internet connection.....it worked....now I am able to play Ironman. Issue with the BD Live and a huge download it tries to get when it starts up? I do enjoy the quality of the Blu Ray picture and sound but this is a pain in the rear!

Because it is has BD-Live enabled and the player is looking for that. Just like if you have cable connected to your tv and have your tv option set to antenna. Why would you expect the cable programming to come thru - not gonna work.

I understand it "hangs" because the files size of the BD Live info it is trying to get is huge...several gigs....I left it alone for an hour yesterday and still nothing. I had it hard lined into my router and have a pretty fast DSL connection so if that is the case if must be a huge amount of data it is getting. I disabled the BD Live though the player menu and now all is right with the playback....I have never used BD Live so I guess ignorance is bliss in that I don't know what I am missing! Cheers |

Maybe it'll get better, but not worth it right now. You could probably just view the streaming video on the net anyway. |

With no disc in your player select menu and then settings....select system setup and then turn off the "screen messages".....simple thing that took a call to Samsung for me....hope that helps. Cheers, |

Was wondering if anyone else has had this trouble:
We have the BD1500 connected thru an Onkyo receiver with HDMI - We have a tv that is 1080p - We just put on the latest firmware upgrade a few days ago and since the upgrade, have had troubles with the BluRay player disconnecting from the receiver. Still is going to the TV (we can see the movie playing, but hear no sound, readout on the Onkyo said "no signal", player shows playing). Nothing seems to reset it other than either ejecting the disc and reloading it, or powering off then back on. This seems to happen when we pause the disc. Sometimes after a long pause, sometimes only a short pause. --- Would appreciate any feedback on what it might be . . . . Thanks. |
