I really don't know what to think because SI has gotten a ton of fairly basic facts wrong in the story. There's been multiple instances where they incorrectly talked about a player being at OSU as a freshmen when in reality they started at a different school. In addition at least one player interviewed said that the reporter did not tape or take notes during their interview and did not tell him what the investigation was about. There's also the fact that 2 of the players accused of misconduct have died and thus can't defend themselves, and it seems like most of the players that spoke on the record were kicked out or left the school and thus have a reason to talk bad about OSU, and it seems SI was trying to seek out players that thought might have a grudge against the school.

Here's some neat research I came across. Per Capita Production of FBS Recruits by State (2008-2013). It's really not surprising at all. Of the top-15 per capita college football states 9 are ex-confederate southern states where the SEC dominates. In the BCS era 12 of the 15 national champions have been schools from the state of Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana or Alabama.

I know who I'd go after if I were them. I'd make a run at David Shaw from Stanford. He's who I wanted Tennessee to go after when Dooley was fired. I really like the way his teams play!

The only way I see Shaw leaving Stanford is if it's for the NFL. He's a Stanford grad and former player and seems to truly love the school. He doesn't strike me as the type that would leave just because he could make more money elsewhere. He's already on the radar of plenty of NFL owners and I can't see him going to another college.

David Shaw is about as untouchable as any head coach that I can imagine. He is a Stanford alumnus. Coaching the Cardinal *IS* his dream/destination job. There's no way any other program could extract him from Stanford to coach their team.

It is said that everyone has a price. The one exception maybe David Shaw.

Of course he does. He has TWO sex offenders in his starting back field. They are the definition of a rogue program. Who's ready to see Johnny Football kick the crap out of Nick Satan and 'Bama? I am!

I know we have some Louisville fans on here and I hope you don't fall into any of these categories.

SO, today is National Hate Louisville Day. Here is the Top 10 reasons to hate the Louisville Cardinals according to Kentucky Sports Radio.

9. Everyone who is a Louisville fan is also a DJ - Louisville tailgating is nothing but tatted up guys with backwards hats spinning records.

8. Online Louisville fans - They have the dumbest online fan base of anyone across the country. Sure, Kentucky has its fair share but nothing like Louisville. Their vulgar, nasty, and everyone with a Twitter account takes a shirtless self for their profile picture.

7. The way Louisville fans worship alcohol - (I personally have nothing against alcohol myself) They all drink like Teddy Kennedy

6. Richard Pitino - He is one of the most annoying human beings on Earth. He has always tried to break his neck to get UK into trouble while he was around here. He is now in Minnesota but that is still too close to us.

5. L1C4 - The stupidest slogan ever. Louisville First, Cards Forever incase you don't know what it means. Louisville first as opposed to what? It is basically Louisville's version of 2 Legit 2 Quit. One day they will look back and wonder why they came up with that. They even get it tattooed on themselves. lol

4. Louisville's inferiority complex with Kentucky - Everything we do is an obsession to them. Tuesday, Matt Jones talked for an hour about how good Louisville is, how Bridgewater is the best player in the country and how Louisville will beat UK on Saturday and they attack him on Twitter because he got a stat wrong (he said Louisville didn't sell out their game last year when UK played against them when it was 2010 he meant to say).

When they won the National Title, they were mad at Mitch Barnhart because he said they had an "Nice season". They couldn't be happy about having one of the best seasons in college history but they had to get approval from daddy and tap them on the head or it wasn't good enough. Little brother had to get something more for doing good. lol

3. Tom Jurich - He is the state of Kentucky's Donal Trump. He even has the hair! He has intimidated the entire city of Louisville into doing whatever he wants. He does whatever he can to ruin my life.

2. Louisville Media - The biggest bunch of chickens I have ever seen. UoL folks treat anyone who is friends with me horribly. When Rick Pitino walks in, Louisville media treats him like Fozzy and they are Potsie. They do whatever he wants and when he wants to. They are the most spineless group of people I have ever seen in my life. The media is controlled by the college almost across the board.

1. Their young, arrogant fan base - There was a time when the fan base was people I generally respect. Sold Freedom Hall out all the time. They were mostly small business owners who worked hard and made something of themselves. The problem is they had kids who has done nothing except get out of the right birth canal and then they go get hammered at football games and throw up their stupids Ls. They are the dreg of society.

Let's not forget Rick Pitino's sleazy personal life. He screwed around on his wife, knocked up his girlfriend at a restaurant and then paid her to have an abortion.

Yeah it goes with #10. Personally, I have nothing but good things to say about him. He has never done anything to me so I won't bad mouth him but some of the choices he has made have not been...good.

Did anyone watch that game tonight? I'll admit TCU's offense was horrendous, but that was some of the worst officiating I've ever seen in a football game. At one point TCU had a punt return TD called back even though there were no flags or whistles on the play (because they decided AFTER the TD that he had called a fair catch).

And they need to fix the rule about dropping the ball before you cross the goal line. If they determine on replay that a player dropped it before he scored and the ball ended up in the end zone, they should not get the ball back at the 1. It should be a touchback.

I completed agreed with the refs on calling back the punt return touchdown. The returner clearly made an invalid fair catch signal and by rule the returner can't advance the ball in that situation. The refs shouldn't have needed to confer to make the call and the ref by the returner should have blown the play dead, but at least the right call was made.

I didn't watch a ton of the game due to the Patriots game, but I agree there was two bad calls that doomed TCU. The player dropping the ball before he scored was one, and then late there was a Tech fumble where the refs and replay booth ruled the runner was down but I thought they could have easily called it a fumble. Tech ended up getting a game-clinching field goal on that drive.

I don't understand how they can go through multiple days of articles, and not even provide a single shred of proof to any of it.

If tutors and the like were writing papers for students, are they SO diligent that SI was unable to turn up a single email, or text, or any other piece of actual evidence other than hear-say?

*EDIT* Incidentally, I am shocked and appalled that OSU players were using Marijuana. I'll bet that no other team in the country has ever done that! snicker
