A list of whats the same and whats changed in Star Wars.

Star Wars

01. Still has 1954 recording of 20th Century Fox Fanfare
02. Both R2 jump-cuts in the Blockade Runner hallway still there.
03. Vader's chest box lights still not working in several shots.
04. Jawa's eyes look almost red from the artificial dimming of the scene.
05. Inside the Jawa Sandcrawler is almost too dark to see anything.
06. SE Sandtroopers and Dewbacks still look like 1997 effects.
07. SE Obi-Wan's home still looks fake.
08. SE Ronto's still look like 1997 effects.
09. SE Cantina aliens still look like 1997 effects.
10. The Han Greedo scene now has them both shoot at the SAME TIME, and there is still a freeze-frame there that throws off the scene.
11. Jabba scene is still there from the 2004 DVD.
12. Slooooow Millennium Falcon flyby from Tatooine.
13. After Han says "I know a few maneuvers....", it's still the old static shot of the Falcon NOT making any maneuvers.
14. Luke still has green saber blade.
15. "I told you she would never consciously betray the Rebellion" followed by Vader's hand gesture still there.
16. Falcon cockpit window still incorrect.
17. Spacetroopers and laser cannons still sloppily matted.
18. Old monitor graphics still there in Death Star control room.
19. Breakaway door in detention center still not fixed.
20. Death Star chasm matte painting still not fixed.
21. Jump-cut Obi-Wan lightsaber blade on the Death Star still there.
22. Millennium Falcon vs. Sentry TIE's, there is still an X-Wing flyby sound during the battle.
23. Still no "wormhole tunnel" out the cockpit window during the "They're tracking us" chat.
24. 1970's monitors and graphics still on Yavin 4.
25. Jumps between 1970's models and 1997 effects still there.

Changes noticed:

01. Escape pod launcher lights now have heat trails over them, making them flicker.
02. Escape pod hatch is no longer blue.
03. More moisture vaporators added.
04. Leia hologram now looks more blue and prequelish.
05. Treadwell droid behind Uncle Owen while talking at the table (Was this there before?).
06. Binary sunset still has the passing clouds added.
07. The area beneath the Landspeeder actually looks GOOD.
08. As pointed out by Adywan, there are now rocks in front of R2 in his hiding spot in the canyon.
09. If you thought the DVD version of Obi-Wan's Krayt Dragon roar was hideous, keep your thumb on the Mute button. That's right. It's WORSE now.
10. The new CG rocks that covered R2 are magically gone after he comes out of hiding.
11. 2004 detention center hallway still there and actually looks good.
12. Obi-Wan/Vader duel on Death Star lightsaber blades are bright and more consistent, though Vader's is a bit pink in some of the shots.
13. Millennium Falcon vs. Sentry TIE's, the shot that was revealed to us by LFL at the press event with the partial laser bolt IS FIXED in this MKV.
14. Brass can now be heard during X-Wing dive to the Death Star.
15. The glitch under Vader's TIE and his escorts after "Three marks at two-ten!" has been fixed.
16. Energy wave sound from Death Star explosion sounds more balanced.
17. Vader's breath sound can be heard when his TIE is spinning, but is very faint.

he'll be changing Princess hot minx leia into a fat old slob next.I really hate those new Ewok eyes ,why are they doing this

im surprised he hasn't recieved death threats or something.

Exactly! What i always loved about that scene is the way the camera focuses on Vader as Luke gets electrocuted. He doesn't say anything and we never see his face, but you can tell that he is NOT cool with what is going on! Adding the extra "NOOOOO"s totally ruins that moment and makes it cheesy instead of awesome. Of course, Lucas couldn't understand that since he didn't direct the film...

Did Wicket the Ewok ever blink in the theatrical cut? Otherwise it makes total sense to have him blink... It looks stupid and fake and the new eyes are horrendous, but it makes sense. That's a change i can get behind.

Now if only he would cut out the horrible CGI musical number from "Return"...

The biggest suspension of disbelief is no longer about how there could be wars in space, but how R2D2 actually got into that little boulder groove, I think young yoda might have struggled to get into that little gap

Now let's see what other offers come up. I want this so bad. I know I'll get it early if I pre order but I haven't got the cash until thursday after release!

But on the other hand I paid £50 for LotR EE and it dropped to about £40 about a week-2 weeks after release! And tesco even had it at £30. So I may be better off just biting the bullet and facing the fact I won't be getting this day one

Hopefully it means I will find it cheap either online or in store. But I don't see it being less than £50 anyway :/

Only the 15sw-1 code works on Tesco now, the 5spend25-1 has been blocked. It is now one or the other. I don't hold out much hope for you guys that got the code through getting it at the £52 price. Watch your inbox for notification, usually do you want to proceed at £57 or cancel order.

i pre ordered with hmv.. they giving away a free darth vader t shirt if you pre order.. would have probably bought day 1 anyway.. usually we get our releases on the Friday in Ireland but the guys in the shop says this is going to be held over till Monday.. they might sell it saturday if anyone else breaks the street date..

Jesus Christ they are f**king this up bad, I'm glad I didn't wind up saving up for it, I'll wait until it's dropped in price. Vaders No! is awful, I wonder if Lucas realised that people were making fun of that from RotS, not loving it. The Ewok blinks makes the eyes look more cold and heartless, Dragon cry was just plain lame.

I wish they'd just understand that the films are a product of their time, adding CGI makes it look worse. About almost all films understand this, they don't need updating, people understand that films from 30 years ago are going to look like films from 30 years ago, if you want to modernise them, just remake them, plain and simple. Don't alter the old films half-assedly.

I'll wait for the big 3D boxset, that way the 2D one will instantly drop in price.

Will the UK blu ray version of Áttack Of The Clones' be uncut as the DVD had the jango headbutt cut, anyone know if this will appear in the blu ray?
