I don't get why people pre-order on high profile releases like this (and Avengers ftm) when there are so many good deals on release week. And you can weigh your options with exclusives. Now I can understand if it's a limited edition, but other than that reasoning, it just doesn't make sense. Just thinking out loud.

While I do think Warner Bros. releasing The Dark Knight Rises and the trilogy set, AND THEN releasing an Ultimate Collector's Trilogy Set like a year later is a pretty scumbaggy move, I'll probably still end up buying both TDKR and the UCE...I can't help it.

I'm curious, as I'm sure most of you are, to find out what exactly the ULTIMATE version is. I'm probably going to buy TDKR in regular Blu-ray this time around and I can always sell the three of them to put towards the ULTIMATE set if I really want it. I probably won't buy the ULTIMATE set unless it has remasters of Begins and TDK.

Kind of what I was thinking. Steelbooks, thankfully, are trending that way: leaving the blu banners and ratings logos off the actual cover and on the insert! Which I think everyone likes!

They never have it a month and a half early. you're looking at, at the very least, a month from now. |

That would explain that October 19th "Order Due Date"...and also it would explain why the pre-orders went down on Amazon US...
If I'm reading the poster correctly, pre-orders start tomorrow, these pre-orders get shipped on October 19th, and the disc is available to buy at shops (not order online) in December. So they're pulling a Fox with releasing the disc for online order early>? Last edited by antovolk; 09-30-2012 at 10:17 PM. |

Sure. It's going to be around $37 though. The store is selling Prometheus right now for that price too. And thats what i paid for the TDK back in 2008.
