Destiny thread already ranks fourth in number of replies of any nonsticky thread in the Playstation area of this forum. Uncharted 2, Gran Tursmo 5 and Call of Duty: MW2 rank higher in the PS3 section. Destiny will easily overtake all of these.

I was also reading an article earlier about the number of players and number of hours. The average Destiny player has spent 67 hours playing the game. Gotta wonder what the median is...maybe around 20?

I was a big part of the Uncharted 2 thread. I had more fun with that game than any other game up to that point (and possibly still to this day.) So many hours spent beating the single player story and playing the online multiplayer. U2 will always be special to me. GT5 was also another game I spent a lot of time playing and was quite active in the thread. Those 2 games were definitely my favorites during the PS3 era, along with Skyrim. But yeah, Destiny will probably pass all of them in terms of thread replies if Bungie plans it to be a 10 year project.

Guess I've been a good boy. leveled up in Vanguard and Cryptarch within one tower trip and got the Legendary Up For Anything auto rifle and the Purifier VII fusion rifle. Are these even any good?

If yours has Field Scout then it is pretty good. Bigger magazine. Not as big as Dr. Nope/Epilogue but does higher damage than those. It is a mix between Nope and Shadow Price. I like it for that reason as much as I loved Shadow at first I found the small magazine size to suck as having to keep reloading.

I think just by getting lucky on what you get in the package from leveling up the ranks. I'm trying to get up to rank 10 or so since some people claim to have gotten faction shaders around that rank.

That's BS. I'm rank 22 Dead Orbit, have only received 1 shader, Revenant at rank up of 16. Like all things Destiny, it's purely RNGesus.

And the ship is the same, RNGesus rank up reward.

I got the void Purifier VII in the third week after release. If you have the quick charge perk, it's a beast of a gun. I attribute getting the crucible portion of the Thorn bounty solely to this weapon. With the massive impact rating, I was able to keep the Normal VoG Praetorians at bay and could down them in four quick shots. I picked up a solar one this week from the Nightfall, also with the quick charge perk. Look forward to leveling it up!

I just repeated the "woken the hive" part for about 30 minutes and got it fully leveled up as well.

I has Flared Magwell for faster reload and is swapable between Enhanced Battery for the increased magazine size. Who's Next is part of the tree too.
