Love your avatar by the way. And as for the gif? WTF!? How Vader got his groove back? I find your lack of groove disturbing. Off topic for a sec. What in tarnation is up with this stupid "deals" window that keeps popping up in the corner of my screen everywhere I go on here? It's getting kind of annoying.

Default Andy Serkis reportedly has two roles in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I will spoiler tag for those that don't want be spoiled.

[Show spoiler]According to website Jedi News, the 50-year-old actor has filmed two parts for the sci-fi blockbuster, one as a motion capture character - the genre which he specialises in - and one traditional live action role.

In his motion capture role, Serkis will lead a 'group of unbelievably athletic and acrobatic characters' which also includes actress Crystal Clarke and parkour expert Pip Anderson.

His second part is believed to be smaller but is 'pivotal' to the plot and 'entwines with Daisy Ridley's back story.

Possible spoiler? Possible? Well, I understand the possible meaning "possibly not true", but you can probably notch it up to possible "major" spoilers.

Sounds absolutely fantastic if true. I'm so on board with this film I can hardly stand it and cannot wait to see the final product. In the next week or so, I'll be doing a SW marathon, for sure. Just need to pick a day.

Sydow is obviously a clone of Anakin.

My guess is that The Awakening is when the Force (can I say midichlorians?) finds more hosts and gives power to those who had none before, not genetically inherited. Some might turn to the Dark side (i.e Adam Driver) and some to the Light (i.e. John Boyega).

All the rumors are very exciting, but only one thing doesn't make sense. Why would Kira be abandoned and raised like an orphan? If her parents are trying to hide her, I would've think of better ways to do it. But I like how she's an inventor like her grandfather.

Hey, I've said it first!

But I think Andy Serkis will be Sifo-Dyas. Obi-Wan wasn't sure of him being killed, he might be in hiding ever since. The Awakening is changing that.

I think Max von Sydow could be revealed as Darth Plagueis, and Andy Serkis is Sifo-Dyas. There must be a reason "rule of two" is exempted on Andy Serkis' character, another Sith exists.

Since people are talking about this openly, here's my own two bits.

I think Sydow is Plagueis.

Not Boba Fett, not Sifo-Diyas.

You guys are saying the character Sydow is playing is supposed to be a cybernetically sustained "more machine than man" collector of Prequel/Sequel artifacts and memorabilia.

You know who collects artifacts and memorabilia? Historians, Fans....and Families. Sydow's character is supposed to be sheltering a certain daughter of an OT couple and he has a big collection of Skywalker/Old Republic/Imperial war artifacts.

I think the guy is going to turn out to be the man who started the whole damn thing in the first place. This is nothing but my own speculation. But if true, there's your third act twist.

No, I'm not letting go of the idea that Episode VII will tie up the loose story threads from Phantom Menace and Revenge of the Sith vis-a-vis Anakin's mysterious birth.

Sydow is Plagueis.

Plagueis is not human for starters and the leak says it someone not force sensitive and not overtly bad.

Who said Plagueis wasn't human? And not "overtly" bad? Man -- that's an even bigger giveaway.

It's a fact that he is not human. He is a purely evil Muun Sith Lord. Thus going against what the leak said of max's character.

Plus he was killed and nothing indicates otherwise

Right... I can't even find any other characters other than Fett that qualify. Maybe bail Organa? Grandad watching after granddaughter? But he does not have Sith contacts...

Boba just makes sense, especially with the boba standalone film in 2016.

Fett reveal in the third act, set up and sarlacc escape in the fett movie?

There is still the possibility of the source being bull. The recent reports of serkis' involvement go against him a bit.

We were told Luke's father was killed at one point and nothing indicated otherwise. And all I know about Plagueis is limited to what was actually said in the movies (which is very little). Muun things are never mentioned in the movies. I had an old Star Wars encyclopedia which talked about Obi-Wan and Owen Lars being brothers.

Not in the movies? Doesn't count.

See How ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Was Inspired By Ralph McQuarrie’s Unused Concept Art
Quote:
Many fans credit much of the visual genius of the original Star Wars trilogy to concept artist Ralph McQuarrie. His beautiful concept paintings and early sketches inspired much of what we love about the galaxy far, far away. In fact, the current Lucasfilm creative team are using parts of McQuarrie’s original unused concept art as inspiration for the new Star Wars films and movies.
