I am sure you realize that is NOT the Forced Entry we are talking about, rather it is Shaun Costello's XXX version. Pretty sure I recall you involved in the conversations about the different versions last year.

Also, I was being facetious. I don't really think Dark Force will be releasing Costello's Forced Entry or Waterpower. But I would buy them!

Doesn't really fit with the rest of the lineup. Maybe a better fit for Unearthed Films.

Bill posted the announcement long ago in the Code Red thread...

I don't recall the specifics, but Bill said he was going to release it as a response to some interaction between himself and John Lyons of Vinegar Syndrome.

If my memory of the livestream is correct, John Lyons seemed to imply that the content of the movie might get Bananaman into legal trouble.

I found the link for the old livestream with John Lyons, Bananaman, the MVD guy and Dave:
https://www.facebook.com/15854242143...2246307043666/

I can't remember when Waterpower comes up in the discussion but it does.

doesn't Waterpower use quite a bit of music from a De Palma film (believe it's Sisters, but I could be wrong)? it may also be from Taxi Driver- it was a 70's Bernard Herrmann score.

i've read that Costello used to be quite a fan of taking music from other movies and using it in his flicks, could be that someone has attempted to release this film before but were met with backlash in an attempt to clear music rights? i don't know quite how that would work, since i know it was once popular to take music from other films-

other wild guesses would be that maybe one of the girls was underage and there are known issues there, or maybe there's some weird mob-related trouble with this film- throwing out some guesses. while i'd be excited to even see a version of this film in HD, i see this in the realm of 70's/80's films that are trapped in bootleg hell forever.

I found where he talks about Waterpower in the above livestream...it happens at 2:18:55:

"Hey Joe, what do you think of that movie Bill's got called Waterpower?"

"I tried to bring it up a couple of times. All I can say is don't release it because it definitely, well not definitely, but possibly land you in some legal trouble for reasons I can talk to you about off the phone."

Forget you heard any of that Bill, claim ignorance as innocence, blame it on whoever sold it to you etc...

We need Waterpower in HD! You're the only label crazy enough to make it happen.

Never seen the movie, but wonder what he could mean? Could one of the actresses be under aged?

Idk but something must've just come up. This was posted back in 2018.

The French CRI was edited to conform to the French dub. However, I have a sneaking suspicion that the film itself wasn’t cut and the edits were made in the digital realm, meaning that if BM is able to get access to this CRI, it might be the best available element. I also know of at least one supposed print of the film plus a potential second CRI.
Bill, if you read this, feel free to email me at joe@vinsyn.com and I can give you more info.
Also happy to help with extras.
Then there's a post I found here from 2016

I was under the impression that Costello's preferred cut never saw any kind of release, and was actually somewhat shorter than the various different cuts available. The person to ask about Waterpower would be John Lyons, I recall that he spent some time working with Costello trying to track down usable elements. Though I suspect music right issues would prevent it ever getting a proper release, at least in the US.
I figured it's something bad or private which is why he didn't say it online or the stream.
Also nice update to your signature

Speaking of The Farmer, just stumbled across these clips . I guess this was taken from the 16mm print that was on Ebay a few months ago.(I have no idea how to embed Instagram posts so forgive me).
