I would have to say all of them.
For now though I prefer my 3D movies actually be movies and I've ignored the Sports Illustrated disc and various IMAX edutainment titles. I love the one's I have but if I had to pick just one ... only one,... it would certainly be Tangled. That must be the best for now. (HTTYD may be the bee's knees ... I don't know ... I can't afford it for now.) -Brian |

So far, my favorites as far as quality of 3d are Coraline, Avatar, IMAX Ulitimate Wave: Tahiti, and IMAX: Legends of Flight. And maybe Drive Angry (for the 3d, not the movie itself).
![]() You can get the imax movies for cheap! Like $13! Last edited by Blu Tiger; 06-23-2011 at 04:30 PM. |

It depends on what kind of movies you like. I would have to say my favorites are Avatar, Resident Evil and Tron. But there are many that run a close second- HTTYD, Ice Age, Despicable Me, Alice, etc. Green Hornet was so poorly reviewed by most that I didn't bother getting it.

At the moment, only own Tangled, but it's good enough--
But based on what I see from the free PS3 "3DNet" satellite-channel trailer, which features a few clips from the IMAX titles, I'm waiting for "Under the Sea" to come down in price... ![]() (For those who've seen the promo, which IMAX underwater documentary is which? I know the shot of baby seals poking their heads out of the screen is from "Under", but what about the others?) |

I have The Green Hornet and the 3D is awesome, but the film is not the best. It is a mixture of humor and action. Still, I have seen it a few times (mostly for the 3D) and will recommend it only if you enjoy 3D regardless of how good some films story actually is.

The four I own are great. In order of 3D quality I guess I'd go:
1. Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2. Tron: Legacy 3. Legend of the Guardians 4. Resident Evil: Afterlife And that's not to say that RE:A is no good. It's great! |

I agree with getting the Imax flix. They're cheap right now and you get quite a bang for your buck. Check some of them out, especially the ones that are mentioned by blu tiger.

For me, the definite disc for showing of 3D is Step Up 3D. No lie. It is a family friendly movie and there are so many seens to choose from, that it make a defintite impact. Like Drive Angry 3D, the 3D make an otherwise 'meh' movie, a grand experience.
Here is how I rate what I have; Good Movie, Good 3D: Legend of the Guardians Despicable Me Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs Tangled Pirahna 3D Decent movie made good by 3D: Drive Angry My Bloody Valentine Resident Evil: Afterlife Dinosaurs Alive! A Christmas Carol Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore Decent Movie, so-so 3D: Green Hornet Last Airbender Gnomeo & Juliet Yogi Bear Have but have not watched: Tron Legacy (saw in theater, have not watched on blu-ray) Sanctum Monster House |

I would have to say out of the non exclusives that i own i was most impressed by Resident Evil, Despicable Me, Saw 3D (7) which I was glad each one wasn't an exclusive title. The next ones i plan on getting which I've seen at home on my Panny are Sanctum 3d and Drive Angry since both movies were live action and had great 3d.

But to answer the topic. Out of the ones I have that are available for general retail. And if I had to start my collection over. I'd be for sure starting with Despicable Me first. Then probably Coraline And Alice In Wonderland. Open season... Pretty much all the animated stuff is really cool. There are a Couple general retail titles I don't have yet, so can't comment on them all. I really need to pick up Legends Of The Guardians soon. The Blu-ray version has to look fantastic.
