If they cared at all about consumers, they'd create an extra disc to put all the supplemental material on. I just hope the old Ghostbusters release doesn't go OOP, leaving customers with just this gimped version to choose.
That's exactly what I was thinking!!!

Hopefully Panic Room (a SuperBit DVD only release) is released under the M4K label. If it is, they better include another disc with all of the extras that did and did not make it onto the 3-Disc release. I'd be happy with a regular Blu-ray release for it, but since it was one of the first SuperBit DVD releases, I'm hoping it's also one of the first M4K releases.

I agree but all of the current 4K's are double dippers. I doubt that the first release of Panic will be 4K. I hope so it is one of my most anticipated Blu's

I think it will. Fincher is a hot item over at Sony, and it's the only Blu-ray of his they haven't released yet.

It never got a regular DVD release, so there's no reason why this should get a regular Blu-ray release over a M4K release.

For anyone would like to see what this looks like in motion. I Split out a scene from Spiderman MI4K and remuxed it to mkv. Its almost 2 min and because it has been split out of the original file instead of re encoding it, you may need to use vlc player to watch it.

http://www.speedyshare.com/wKwdm/SM-4k.mkv

If you guys would like to see a clip from Ghostbusters MI4K let me know.

I guess this is what happens when you buy things too early....The Karate Kid chapter 7 has no subtitle when the chinese language is being spoken. Not sure if this problem persist later in the movie too. Tested on a different blu ray and is the same. The only work around is to turn on english subtitles. I own the original non remasterd version and this problem doesn't exist email already sent to sony support.

Update: No english subtile translation for chinese spoken language through entire movie.

I'd still get it over the regular release though! Hopefully they also release Ghostbusters 2.
The colors are not meant to pop as much as they are on the old disc, and the new disc is still plenty colorful (more colorful, I think, than the caps indicated).

Umm, yes, actually it is negligible. I've seen the comparisons, and there is nothing "mind-blowing" about it. There's a difference, but in motion most people won't care, unless you are some hardcore videophile.

Weird that highdefdigest didn't mention the problem in their review. That was the first review I could find of that title.

That review sucks b/c it perpetuates the myth that Michelle Yeoh has a cameo in the movie. She doesn't.

Reviewers have been known to cherrypick and completely miss out on mistakes. See: Star Trek TNG Season 1 audio problems.

I love Michelle Yeoh so I'm happy to hear she didn't defile herself by appearing in that movie, if even for a cameo. Of course, now she'll be in the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel so maybe it's a zero-sum game after all.

That error is easily fixed by just looking at IMDB or searching the Internet. Yet, we are asked to trust a review written by a guy who can't even tell that the cobra lady is NOT Michelle Yeoh.

I wonder if it's laziness, ignorance, racism ("Eh, they all look the same to me!") or something else entirely.

Bad eyesight -- which means that his review of the video quality doesn't count.

Panny calls it x v color and Sony calls it xvvYCC.
